“Good hotel if you like fade charm. The Group were on 2nd 3rd floor these were ok esp 2nd floor. Rooms below entrance (downstairs) were not so good per part of group that were here last year. On each floor spectacular lounge areas to meet up. Outside over looking sea also very good. Some one in group had been to Waldorf Astoria NY some years ago as part of cruise deal. “Shocking hotel! The room was filthy and in a really bad state of repair. We refused to stay in the first room they gave us which was in the roof space. I don't understand how hotels are allowed to operate like this. If it was a restaurant they would be shut down by the foog hygiene agency. It ruined our weekend. I will be emailing the hotel directly with photos of the room. Would the owners stay in these rooms? I think not. Even the grand staircases are filthy.”

“Nice big room and bathroom, the only downside was staying there during a hot spell and the bathroom got the sum very early morning and the bedroom for the rest of the day making it unbearable to sleep in, even though there was a fan provided. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed properly so with shuffling due to the heat it didnt stay on for long. Great location and a good base for visiting the area and plenty of parking.
We had breakfast but wished we hadnt as it was very disappointing when...

“This is a lovely hotel full of character. Yes it looks a little scruffy on the outside but the inside is good.
Every member of staff was pleasant & helpful especially on the front desk for checking in & out. We arrived early & asked about a parking permit & the lovely lady not only sorted us a parking space but also let us have our room key even thought we were a few hours early 😊

“The good points. Room and bathroom very clean. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
Undercover parking include in room price a bonus plus EV charging if needed.
Not so good points. Don’t book a cosy room with 6’ double. It is too cosy, we are not big people, but I would not want to spend more than a couple of nights in there. The lady on reception is bit snappy when my wife said we don’t want to be on the top floor. We are full she was told, but after some huffing and puffing a room...
