“The property is a little bit away from the train station and up the hill, but shuttle is provided between 1 and 5 pm every day for pickup. We arrived later, and decided to walk despite being given the option to have them pick us up by request. Checkin was simple and straightforward, we were given instructions on paper and in English. “An hotel in the style of a traditional Ryokan, absolutely everything about Mikawaya was exceptional. The decor, rooms, public onsen, meals and staff were amazing. Although it is a little out of the way and up an incline, there are multiple frequent transport options and even a shuttle bus which can take you back and forth from Gora Station. “We were on our honeymoon and when we told them they upgraded us to a jr suite. The view of the hotel is beautiful, actually the only place we got to see Mt. Fuji from, because of all the clouds and fog. The only thing bad to say about the hotel is that there is not much around it for places to eat especially breakfast, which for us was a bit to expensive €20 in two. We found a place called Bakery and Table i think in Moto-Hakone-ko close to the bus station. But beautiful view and great hotel!”

“Hotel propre, personnel très gentil. Repas et petit déjeuner japonais complet et bon pour ceux qui aiment manger japonais. Le seul bémol est qu’on aurait souhaité avoir plus d’informations en amont sur les transferts en bus lors de notre arrivée car nous sommes montés sous la pluie avec nos bagages et 2 enfants. ”
