“The boat journey is exciting and comfortable despite being 8 hrs up river and 5 back. If lucky u meet the researchers and hear about their ingenious projects focused on the flora and fauna and the staff are attentive and wonderful as is the food.
We were up at 4.30 most mornings which is no sweat as u go to bed about 9 pm. The clay licks are disappointing this time of year as the Macaws come rarely and the smaller birds fear the hawks without the macaws on the lick...but the birds accumulate...

“I was looking for an amazing Amazon jungle experience and TRC did not disappoint. You cannot get to the hotel in one day, but must stay overnight at another lodge on the way. The amenities in the first lodge are incredible. There is a definite step down in luxury when arriving at the TRC lodge, but it is mind boggling how they can maintain such a comfortable hotelito and accomodations so far removed from civilization. “The property itself is very well built we were surprised we had no issues with bugs inside the room! The view from our room was great also.
This was our first time in PM so we didn’t know what to expect, but thought there would be more things to do there for what we paid. We also thought there would be some wild life around! We didn’t see much of anything besides some birds!
Luckily there is a wild life sanctuary 5 minute walk from the lodge that allows visual tours of their monkeys for $80...

“We weren’t exactly sure what to expect, but our stay was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. All of the staff was amazing; restaurant staff, particularly Leslie and Renzo, were very friendly and attentive, our guide Yuri was very knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. The excursions included with your stay are well organized and very worthwhile. We would definitely recommend IKAM and hope to return. ”

“Il proprietario Kenny e sua moglie e tutto il personale sono gentilissimi. La camera è molto bella e caratteristica la colazione e i pasti sono squisiti e locali peruviani molto buoni la hacienda è grande e piena di cose da fare e scoprire. Secondo è una tappa da fare assolutamente se si viene in Perù, a conoscere Kenny la sua famiglia il suo staff e la sua hacienda. Per le attività lui provvederà a consigliarvi e ad organizzarle lui stesso”
