“Our room was very spacious, but basic. No frills at all. The heated pool was lovely, but after swimming peacefully for about 15 minutes my husband joined me and so did a staff member. She sat on a chair and did a speaker phone call with family (including an excited, screaming child) and ruined the whole peaceful o space. We wound up leaving and he didn’t swim because it was just awkward. A shame because that’s why we chose this hotel. The woman at the restaurant was amazingly kind. Overall it...

“Staff were very friendly and the property is quite unique - nestled inside a national park. On the grounds there are ruins of old french vacation homes and other facilities from the 1930's, 40's and 50's which can be walked to and explored. Very unique experience and these particular sites are not available to those who are not guests at Melia. (There are some other historic sites on other parts of the mountain). It is a relaxing getaway as well!”

“Pro: walking distance to bus station, Highland coffee shop and plaza. Room is clean and no tobacco smell. We had been placed in rooms at different hotels with heavy tobacco smell that we had to walk out before. Friendly staffs. We checked in at 4 am, asked the staff if we could check out a little bit late at 2 pm on the same day, they accommodated us without asking for more money. Con: not too convenient to rent a motorbike nearby. ”
