“It was lovely close to a beautiful stretch of water that we could walk to. Lovely apartment with washing machine cooker etc… spacious double bedroom and cute bed alcove with sofa bed too. Really was a great place to stay. We ate at the pub one night and it was very tasty. I recommend it as a great position to explore Scotland and so comfortable too. ”

“I have rarely used exceptional to review a hotel but the Kames was. We travelled here from New Zealand on holiday and we only had one night but it was exceptional. The restaurant menu is top class, the range on the menu was great and seriously 10/10. I had locally free dived seared scallops from the loch, I had the slow roasted goat shank with lentils - exceptional, and we shared a lemon tart with fresh berries. I loved the Kames and I seriously recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. That...

“Excellent self-check-in hotel on the A83 looking directly into a stunning view of Loch Fyne at Inverary. Lovely garden with seating area for relaxing, eating, drinking or just taking in the view. Well appointed room and with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. En-suite with fluffy towels, cotton buds, soap and shower gel. Close to lovely cafés and bars of Inverary and walkable to the beautiful castle. Would recommend!”

“The hotel owners/hosts, Sharon and John were very welcoming and friendly including Sharon offering to drive me to a local restaurant and later coming back to collect me. The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day! When I am next in that area, I’ll certainly book to stay at the Ashbank and shall make the recommendation for others to do so too!”

“Had an overall great stay! Very clean and nice staff. The only thing that’s negative worth mentioning was that it took a very long time to get hot water in the shower and the tub. And after the hot water was running in the tub there was no way to get the cold water running. Except for this, a comfy bed and nice breakfast made this a nice stop along the way. ”

“Owners were awesome! Their place is excellent! Food was great! And the Highland cows nearby were friendly.”

“Had a great few days stay. Frances was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and happy to point us in the direction of walks and places to eat and drink. Thank you. ”
