“I have been taking my winter staycation in Fairmont Macdonald for over 8 years now. Out of the 8 years, I have spent 5 years staying on Fairmont Gold floor. I have gotten to know quite a number of the staff up there. They go out of their way to make me feel at home. This year, there is a noticable change in the staff on the Gold Floor. I am getting to know new faces. Again, a totally enjoyable and very restful stay at a beautiful hotel. I will be back next year. ”

“Spotless but definitely could use some TLC and replacement/upgrading. Called motel a day ahead requesting the quietest room and early check in - very accommodating and I had the best sleep- comfortable bed, temperature and quiet. Exceptional front desk reception! Ash was a most gracious host! Lots of amenities within walking distance- restaurants etc…”

“The Commercial is an old heritage building that has been modernized inside. The furnishings are a bit bare bones, and this unit a fancy "luxury" place, but it has a lot of funky charm. The room was spotless, and the staff were all uniformly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when visiting Edmonton's Old Strathcona district.”
