“Lovely guesthouse in a beautiful village in Wales ”

“We were attracted to Ardwyn House after reading the positive reviews. We loved our stay and you wont be dissapointed if you stay, we highly recommend it. Some plus points... clean, fantastic breakfast options, afternoon tea/coffee and delicious cake, brilliant shower, duvet and pillows as comfy as home (I bring a pillow in the car and never used it.) We stayed to drive Elan Valley and it was just the perfect drive away. The town is walkable for food and shop, the train station is also just down...

“We ended up here, after our booking at another hotel was cancelled, it was the best thing that could have happened. The location is perfect for Aberaeron town. The host was wonderful and provided a fabulous, freshly cooked breakfast. The whole place is tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. Our room was wonderful and the bed was extremely comfortable. I can understand why they won Four in a Bed, on Channel 4 last year. Will definitely go back ”

“Fantastic service from the owners, they made us feel very welcome upon arrival. The beds were super comfortable and that was coupled with a great view. Lots of little details which added character to the room and gave it a homey feel such as small ornaments. The breakfast was lovely, a large selection of cold meats, pastries etc even though it was only us staying. Only a 10 minute drive to Newtown so it has everything you need.”

“Wonderful place to stay, excellent location, comfy bed and use of the kitchen was really helpful. The street is noisy at night so do bring earplugs but do not let this put you off staying at this fabulous property.”

“Lovely old house with large spacious rooms. We stayed 4 nights in Myfanwy which was traditionally decorated and had a very large bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Lovely views from the room and bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Only issues would be the tiny television and absence of a cooked breakfast (it was continental only and and I couldn’t help thinking the pre-Covid choice would have made the stay more special) ”

“The owners of the B&B were extremely welcoming and friendly and gave us some excellent advice. The room was clean and comfortable and fine for one night. However, we were woken at 6.30 am by what I think was a door banging in the wind which was frustrating as we had a long drive ahead of us. And no breakfast was offered at all due to corona virus rules but I understand that room service could be offered so I wonder whether a continental breakfast could be offered in the rooms? “This chalet is just perfect, everything about the stay I could't fault. As it is the only chalet on the property you get complete privacy and your own field for activities with a lovely pond to walk around too. The lack of wifi is actually amazing and feels like a real getaway. The hot tub and firepit kept us entertained all evening anyway! “The apartment is smart, clean and tastefully decorated. Everything is modern and in excellent condition. Cental to all the shops and cafes. We got a parking space right outside. It was a little noisey, but it was freshers week, so maybe the students were enjoying themselves at the pub a little way down the street. ”
