“A lovely unique property full of character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Being an old building with many original features it has its flaws but they add to its charm. All beautiful original windows so no double glazing. They rattle if it’s windy! Our room got very hot even with the radiator turned off due to the old water pipes. “Stayed at Hoopers Hotel for two nights with my wife and baby and had a really nice stay. The room was comfy, we all slept well, and the sea view was lovely. Nice little touches with tea, coffee, snacks, and a ceiling fan to keep the room cool. Even though it’s on a busy road, it was surprisingly quiet. Really good value for money. We would definitely stay again.”

“We knew the bathroom was not en suite, but we did not realize how far from our room it would be for middle of the night trips up and down all those stairs! The breakfast was very good. Perhaps they could add some yoghurt. Staff in breakfast room was lovely. No view.”

“The exterior of the building was disappointing at first look though parking was great, lots of space , our room was spacious and suitable for a disabled person, lots of bars in the bathroom for safety though we are able bodied. The room was clean and bed was comfortable it even had an ironing board. The staff were very friendly and gave help on places to visit . We will visit again.”

“So Negatives: The toilet door wouldn't close, the door was slightly bigger than the frame. There was two of us so that made it a bit awkward to use the toilet. The bedding was horrible, it wasn't fitted and came off so easily. It was just tucked under the mattress almost like a thin sheet. Hated having to keep putting that back on after it just sliding off so easily. The mattress was well and truly disgusting, heavily stained. We got the hill view.
