“We always stay at this hotel when we go to Lafayette, but we did not have a good experience this time. We arrived early and we were able to check in so that was nice. The pool was closed so that was disappointing, but it opened the next day. When the pool did open, the water was extremely cloudy with a film. We were really disappointed because we stayed 4th of July weekend and the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The lay out chairs need to be replaced, one was dry rotted and...

“TL:DR, The room was clean and the bed was comfy. I paid Expedia extra for a room that wasn’t available, and the staff accommodated as much as they were able and was very friendly. I very much appreciated that. I wanted to stay here because I’ve driven by it literally hundreds of times and the atrium chandelier always looks so nice from the freeway. Inside, the rest of the hotel is also nice, just old. The carpeted floor is just slightly sticky in the way that most South Louisiana hotels are....

“I was so excited to the visit carriage house hotel , but I would AVOID AT ALL COST. Their rooms are disgusting. My babies were just crawling around for 30 minutes and were covered in black from how gross the carpets were. We went down to tell the front and all they did was give us the email for the manager and let us know that the carpets were recently “professionally cleaned.” The pool is not in the same area as hotel and closes super early. Breakfast area was very well maintained and had the usual nice breakfast foods of any hotel. No complaints. LOVED having the kitchen in my room as I did prepare my own meal.”
