Cozy Mountain Cottage -Pet Friendly, Brew Ridge Trail!

Welcome to your next mountain cottage getaway.

This beauty is located in the heart of Afton, Virginia along route 151 known as the Brew Ridge Trail. There are over 10 breweries located conveniently within 10 miles.

Beer not your thing? Luckily, several vineyards and wineries are a short drive away. Most of them are less than a 5-minute drive. Visit the local farms, and farmers markets nearby for delicious, homemade treats.

The Blue Ridge Tunnel is a 5-minute drive.

This is the perfect place to relax after a long, adventurous day exploring beautiful Nelson County!

The space:
**New mattress has been installed in master bedroom.**
The cottage offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfy living room.

Guest access:
Guests will have the entire cottage to themselves for the duration of their stay. Guests will enjoy the beautiful mountain view from the cottage porch or even from inside, through the large windows.

Feel free to explore the vegetable and herb garden located just outside the cottages front entrance.

The fields and creek are available at any time for nature walks, outdoor activities, and exploration.

"Camp Dudley" is located in the lower field, seated by a small creak, and includes seating with a fire pit for a true camping experience.

With a gated entrance and a keypad used to unlock the cottage, guests will be able to relax and feel safe.

The outdoor fire pit is available for guest use at their own leisure and risk. Please ensure the fire is completely out when you are finished. Firewood, newspaper, small kindling sticks, matches, and lighter fluid can be found inside of a clear plastic box hidden beneath the bushes next to the car port. You will also find a bucket full of water in the bushes in the same area the box of firewood is located. Please use this bucket of water to put out the fire when you are finished using it or in case of emergency. If more water is needed, there is an outdoor sink and hose around the back of the cottage.

*Fire pit disclaimer: Do not leave the fire unattended. Do not leave anyone under the age of 18 unattended while fire is burning. Please keep all children a good distance away from the fire pit, as the entire metal exterior of the fireplace gets very hot and will burn if touched. *

The only areas that are off limits are the hosts dwelling and the two garages. However, feel free to knock on the red office door, which faces the cottage, if your hosts have not responded to your messages or if there is an urgent, or emergency situation.

Other things to note:
Pets are permitted with approval from the host beforehand.
There is a $50 pet fee, per pet, due to the extra time it takes to clean when pets stay.
If you will be bringing a pet along, please let us know when booking.
