A beautiful holiday

Staying at Fissi Villas for 11 nights made for a very special family trip. The hosts Yanna and Yannis are wonderfully warm and thoughtful hosts who made us feel completely welcomed in Crete. Yanna helped us with all our arrangements regarding our late night arrival, and was there to meet us after our long journey, and had generously provided us with food ready for the morning, as well as a liberal supply of their delicious organic olive oil. The house is immaculately clean and extremely well provided with equipment and thoughtful touches. But it is the wonderful terrace with its sea view, where we spent our favourite time at the house, reading, eating, and the children playing in the play area. The nearby beaches are wonderful for swimming and our oldest son did lots of walking in the hills nearby. Yanna gave us great recommendations for visiting monasteries and villages where we could get meals in tavernas. When there was a difficulty with a blown fuse Yanna and Yannis sprang into action to get it fixed and could not have been more helpful as hosts. The gardens of the 2 villas are full of trees and plants, so the setting is really beautiful. There is some light traffic noise from the road, but the house is set back from the road, protected by trees and raised up the hillside, so the view is of the sea, and the road sounds are mostly drowned out by the sounds of cicadas! Good air conditioning in bedrooms. Thank you Yanna and Yannis for an idyllic time in friendly Crete!

Amazing Villa with Fantastic Hostess!

We stayed in the Fissi Villa for 6 nights and couldn’t have been happier with the villa, the location, the cleanliness of the property, and the host!! The villa is only 5-10 minutes away from 2 really nice beaches, and only 10 minutes from downtown Agios Nikolaos. The villa was surrounded by plants and flowers, with an amazing view of the water and mountains. The host Yanna was also SO AMAZING. She greeted us with yogurt and homemade candied fruit, and gave us detailed recommendations of places to eat, park, and visit. She came by an additional 2 times to treat us to homemade pies and a small going away gift. She was so friendly and helpful and really made the villa feel like home.

Perfect stay for a family with small kids

The apartment as well as the surrounding garden was perfect for our kids (age 1 and 3) given the playground and available toys. The place has an amazing view and is well maintained. The hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly. We can only recommend this place. The only slight drawback is that with very little kids, no beach nor restaurant is walkable and you need to drive.

Très bien

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille a Fissi. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Yanna. La maison est propre, très bien située, à proximité de superbes plages et de la ville mais tout en étant tranquille sur les hauteurs avec vu sur la mer. Nous remercions Yanna et son mari pour leur gentillesse et leurs cadeaux. Nous recommandons vivement.

Very nice experience in a warm October 2019

Very nice location of the villa with optimum equipment of the rooms and the beautiful surrounding terrace and garden. We, a german couple in the early 70th, got a very warm welcome by Yanna, her daughter Irini and her husband Yannis . Since we stayed first time in the eastern part of Crete after several years of visiting the middle part of Crete, the amount of good recommendations from all three have been excellent and kept us busy to experience the region. The location of Villa Fissi allows to travel by car to reach within 30-60 minutes most of the interesting locations. We will come back in order to have some more leisure days, meet the family Spyridakis again and continue to see more from the Lasithi region. Thank you very much to Yanna, Yannis and Irini from Thomas and Marianne.

Logement très agréable et très bien équipé pour un séjour au calme

Un endroit que l'on est contant de retrouver en fin de journée après des visites parfois éprouvantes. Trés bien équipée et confortable. La terrasse donnant sur le golfe est à l'ombre en fin de journée ce qui est très appréciable l'été. Les propriétaires sont évidemment très agréables et aux petits soins.

Paradise in Crete

We had a lovely stay for 5 nights in May. The house was exactly as described (even better). The house is well located next to some excellant beaches and within easy walking distance to Kristi. We recommend however a car though there is a bus stop directly in front of the house. The place and surrounding grounds were very well maintained with lots of flowering plants, citrus, orange and olive trees. Highly recommended

Très bon séjour

Ma famille et moi avons visité la Crète pour 2 semaines en mai , Comme nous étions 8 personnes , nous avons réservé les deux villas de la propriété . 2 maisons chacune avec vue spectaculaire sur la mer et le jardin extraordinaire avec une grande collection de belles fleurs A l'arrivée Madame Yanna nous a donné toutes les informations sur la maison , des conseils utiles pour les excursions et les endroits à visiter . Elle nous offert , café, thé , gâteaux ,de l'eau fraîche et du jus d'orange dans le réfrigérateur , pour le lendemain matin, nous sommes arrivés tard la veille et nous n'avions pas eu le temps de faire nos courses. La maison était extrêmement PROPRE, très bien équipée avec tous les appareils modernes et néçessaire pour rendre notre séjour très confortable . Yanna et Yannis sont à la propriété souvent , au cas où nous avions un problème , prêts à nous aider pour toutes les questions . Deux fois par semaine Yanna vient nettoyer la maison et changer les draps et les serviettes . Nos enfants étaient très heureux de jouer dans le grands jardin avec beaucoup de jouets pour tous les âges , terrain de jeu , voitures, motos, un terrain de basket pour les grand et les petits . Fatigué le soir , un bon repas de viande ou du poisson au barbecue face a la mer . Surprenant , une jolie petite chapelle toute en pierre se situe derrière la maison . Nous avons visité toutes les plages de cette belle région , les sites archéologiques des villes et des villages , et de ses paysages a couper le souffle ! Nous ne pouvions pas demander plus pour nos vacances en famille! nous sommes sûr , que nous allons revenir dans cette jolie Villas encore et encore ......

Villa Prinos - our home away from home

For one week Villa Prinos has been our home away from home. When planning our holiday on Crete (the 7th time w/in the last 20 years) we decided this time not to book a hotel or resort but a holiday home and our decision for Villa Prinos was definitely the right one! Everything was like in the description and in the pictures, in "reality" even nicer: the house and the surroundings - garden, terraces, lawn, bushes, trees and flowers - are beautiful, well tended, nicely and tasteful decorated and everything is kept clean and well maintained. In the kitchen you'll find whatever you need, even dishwasher, washing machine and also an iron and ironing board. In the bedrooms there are spacious wardrobes, good mattresses and air-condition. Living room is equipped with flatscreen TV, CD- and DVD player - nothing of that we used, because it was much nicer to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine! On arrival we found bottled water and orange juice in the fridge as well as a bottle of organic olive oil from their own olive grove and home made biscuits. What a great welcome service! Yanna and her husband Yannis came every day to water the plants and check whether we are ok, provided us with information for hiking trips, restaurants, gorgeous beaches a.s.o. - and freshly baked bread!. Every other day Yanna cleaned the rooms, disposed of the waste bins and changed towels and linen. Always they took some time for a little chat, which we appreciated very much! Yanna and Yannis made our stay very special. We felt that we where not only paying customers but good acquaintances. We surely will come back and of course we will recommend Villa Prinos to our relatives and friends. Thanks,Yanna and Yannis, for a great week!

wonderfull vacations

Me and my family have visited Crete for 2 weeks on May, As we were 8 person we booked both villas in the property. 2 detached houses each with spectacular view to the sea and amazing garden with a big collection of beauctiful flowers. On the arrival Yanna gave us all the information about the house, usefull tips for excursions and places worth to visit. She had offer us coffe, tea, cakes and we found fresh water and juice in the fridge, for the next morning as we arrived late and we did'nt have time for shoping. The house was extremly clean, very well equiped with all the modern and necessary appliances, making our stay very confortable. Yanna & Yannis were at the property twice a day in case we had any problem, ready to help for every issue. Twice a week Yanna cleans the house and change the bed linen and towels. Our kids were very happy to play in the big yards with a lot of toys for all ages such a play ground, cars, bikes, place to play with sand.There is a basketball court were older kids can use. Pretty little stone chapel all located on the ground behind the da house. For the adults, was really nice coming tired in the evenings having a nice meal like meat or fish done in the BBQ.We were seating outside untill late talking and planing our next day trip. Having Fissi Villas our base we have visited all the beauctiful beaches of the area, archeological sites towns and villages, and beauctiful landscapes. We could not ask more for our holidays! I know for sure, we are going to visit Fissi Villas again and again

Superb. Wonderful hosts, location & Villa.

Yanna & Yannis are the best hosts you'll ever come across. We were met upon arrival and given a wonderful greeting and introduction to both the villa and their area of Crete. (Far more detailed than the usual 5-10minute arrival brief). Yanna is a true hospitality professional & this shows from the way the villa is set up and in every interaction with her and Yannis. They are lovely, warm, genuine and will bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Including: - Coming & thoroughly cleaning our villa mid stay (we stayed for a week) - Dropping by often to check we were happy & whether we needed anything or advice - Dropping off yummy treats (their fresh fruit, home made Apple pie etc) - Being extremely warm & welcoming of the children. They had put aside many toys selected for the age of our kids You could not wish for more as hosts. Fissi villas are equally wonderful: - Clean, comfortable & decorated with great local flair - Beautiful, relaxed outlook over the ocean - Set back from & above the nearest major road, so quiet & peaceful - GREAT for kids, with play equipment, many toys, basketball area etc. Our young children needed to be supervised if playing on the grassed area due to a small drop off to the fruit trees growing below - but it is fully fenced & is so pretty out there, there is no where I'd rather have been than outside the villa anyway! - Plenty of room for parking - Free wifi (really good connection) - Kitchen & supplies are great for self catering (ask Yanna about local markets) - 5 mins drive to lovely beaches (we love Voulisma!) & tavernas & close to Agios Nikolaus if you want even more choice for eating - Only 1 hr from Heraklion airport but situated in a lovely quiet part of Crete perfect for exploring the Nth/East corner. A wonderful experience made all the better by such superb hosts!

Sunshine and a warm welcome at the Fissi villas

We spent the first 2 weeks in October at Villa Krini and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Yanna and Yannis were really lovely hosts. When we arrived hungry and tired at 10 pm, they gave us a warm welcome and a good tip for a restaurant where we had a wonderful first dinner out. During our stay Yanna often came by with delicious samples of her homecooking and Yannis presented us with bottles of organic olive oil harvested from his own olive trees. The villa is very pretty. We particulary liked the outside seating area with a view over the Mirabello bay. It is well-equipped and very clean (Yanna cleans twice a week). It is also well positioned for exploring many places in Eastern Crete. Agios Nikolaos, which is teeming with good restaurants and bars, is only a few minutes drive away. Likewise the sandy Almyra beach. Spinalonga and the Lassithi plateau are all within easy reach. We also enjoyed the pleasant drive through the mountains to Ierapetra on the south coast. From there we took the boat trip to the beautiful Chryssi Island with its white sand and turquoise water, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. I am looking forward to coming back to Fissi Villas again some day!
