Trotters Cottage-Close to Bruces Field and Downtown

Coming to Aiken SC for Horse Show, vacation, family or for work? This newly remodled Two-bedroom home is stylish, comfortable, and full of the charm you'd expect. Just a mile from Bruce’s Field, Polo Training grounds and the race track. The community is within walking distance of Historic Aiken, just off beautiful Boundary Street and a short drive to downtown Whisky Alley.
Enjoy a fully fenced backyard for your furry traveling companion and space to park a horse trailer should you need it. Full separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Home is fully stocked for a comfortable stay. Several days of paper goods and basic essential are provided so you can settle in, then for longer stays guests will need to restock.
There is a $50 per pet per stay fee with prior pet approval required.

Our host a couple hours before we were supposed to arrive she sent me a text with all the information I needed to get into the house and gave me all kinds of great ideas for going for dinner or going to look at something It was very nice that she did that. The house is so cute and comfortable. Very clean plenty of towels for both of us as well as in the kitchen. Both my sister and I really enjoyed our stay. It was so close to our wedding venue It worked out perfectly. Aiken is a cute town. Especially if you love horses. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Back home 4th of July Weekend

I'm a native to Aiken and grew up 2min away from this property. It was the PERFECT location in proximity to my parent's house. Everything was ideal inside the home: cleanliness, signature Aiken horse decor, very thoughtful accommodations, and the beds provided some of the best sleep we have ever had away from home. I loved our stay and hope to stay again!

The home and the property manager were both as advertised. Very clean, beautiful home away from the town. The property manager was excellent. We will stay here again if we return to Aiken.

Not what it was pictured!

This unit has so many problems and safety violations. Multiple safety cords everywhere. Windows painted shut-no way out in case of fire. Floors uneven making walking difficult and doors will not stay open. Bathroom shower head and shower doors broken. Lighting in bathroom poor. Doors have gaps under them letting in light and bugs.Safety lock on back door doesn't work. Peeling paint inside and out. Rental needs a lot of maintenance. Location was good and the beds were comfortable. Will not stay here again. Very very disappointed!

Trotters Cottage for Augusta National Women’s Amateur - April 2025

The property was so cute with equestrian art work on the walls. It was perfect for my family.Cara is a wonderful host on logistics. She steered us to a cute restaurant row called Whiskey Alley. Family visit

We truly enjoyed this beautiful little cottage. It was very clean and well stocked. This visit back to my hometown of Aiken was to attend a funeral and it was nice to come back to the quiet and comfort of the cottage. The fenced yards were perfect for our two fur babies to run in.

Best experience with a VRBO stay

I was visiting Aiken, visiting my daughter and her family for Christmas plus visiting friends in the area. This home was perfect for myself and my 2 dachshunds. The fully fenced in yard was perfect for my dogs. The home has been well kept, has high end appliances, and enough supplies to last several days. I was enjoying it so much, I extended my stay!! Communication with my host was great. I can't wait to return in the spring. This experience was the best I've ever had with a VRBO stay.

Awesome Experience

We had such a great stay at Trotter's Cottage! My mom and I stayed for the Aiken's Makin' craft event and it was very conveniently located to downtown Aiken! The cottage was so clean and owner's were so helpful and friendly! I highly recommend if you're planning to stay in Aiken!

Lovely Aiken 2BR close to everything

My family was visiting Aiken as part of trip to take our son from Charleston up to Zirconia NC for Summer Camp. The check in process was easy. House was clean, well appointed, conveniently located, and pet friendly (even though we didn’t travel with our dogs) it’s nice to have options. I would stay at this property again, especially if I’m fortunate enough to return to Aiken for a horse show at Bruce’s Field or to just vacation again in a great town!

Loved Our Stay

This was perfect for my daughter and I. The house was very clean, the beds and bedding are so comfortable. The location was perfect and the area was quiet even tho there was a horse show going on at Bruce’s Field. We will definitely stay again.

Great Cottage

We were in town for a weekend to run a half marathon and to visit some family and friends. It was a great weekend and do a lot to our great accommodations. This house is conveniently located close to downtown and other areas of interest. Nice off the street parking. Inside was very clean, cozy and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. There are two separate fenced-in areas outside which were perfect for the dogs. One area encompasses the front yard and a large backyard. One of the areas is within a privacy fence that has a fire pit, grill, and several seating areas. Nice place to hang out and have a meal while the dogs can roam. There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood including one next-door that seemed a bit aggressive, but there is a sturdy and secured fence between the properties. Also, that neighbor was out there often with the dog. This is not meant to be a negative or a deterrent from staying here – just want to make future renters aware as it startled me the first time we were out with the dogs and that dog was out. Host was super responsive and easy to work with. We have already told several people about this place highly recommending it. We will be back to Aiken and will absolutely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed staying in Aiken this weekend. Cara was a great host and helped with recommendations for restaurants, etc.. The little cottage was clean and well appointed. We were centrally located with easy access to the interstate as well as all the great food and shopping in downtown Aiken. Thank you for making our weekend comfortable.

Comfort at Trotters Cottage

4 of us spent a weekend attending the Southern Belle Classic at Stableview and chose Trotters Cottage for our stay. It was welcoming, comfortable (amazing beds!), fully appointed with pretty much everything needed by travelers. Cara was very responsive and proactive. We used gps to find it and went through some pretty rundown and sketchy areas to find it, but that was the only negative. Also, the reference address says 1760, but it's actually 1720.
