Close to the water, cafes and shops. Wonderful to see such a historic building being both preserved and able to be used and enjoyed by visitors. ”

“We started our NZ vacation here after landing in Christchurch and it was the perfect start. The pub served wonderful appetizers and desserts. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay--great for settling in and relaxation. The pool was cooler than I hoped. Breakfast is self-serve with limited but thoughtful options. Sharing facilities wasn't a problem, but there weren't many other guests during our stay. Staff was warmly welcoming and very accommodating. ”

“The idea of using real silos and all the green solutions are great (not sure if there are solar panels). The room was very clean, it is fully functional and the various solutions are very ingenious (e.g. the hot water pipe to heat the towels). The bed was comfy and the glass bathroom/shower is very nice to see. The kitchen had everything needed and fresh milk was left in the fridge. No cupboard is available (note for the owners: considering the very modern design you may want to have a look at...

They made sure that our stay was enjoyable and a highlight in our New Zealand trip. Location is 5 minutes walking from a lovely sand beach and lots of restaurants. Would gladly stay again. ”
