“My brother and I loved our stay at Akaroa’s Historic Shipping Office. This delightful accomodation is clean, comfortable, cosy and has everything needed for a great visit. Close to the water, cafes and shops. Wonderful to see such a historic building being both preserved and able to be used and enjoyed by visitors. ”

“We loved the waterfront location, especially during the quiet season. It is a lovely little apartment. The main bedroom has a wonderful outlook, as does the very comfortable living area. We also enjoyed our croissant breakfast on the balcony!It would have been helpful to know in advance that the kitchen facilities were rather limited, although the Russell Hobbs bench oven was helpful. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here.”

“Beautiful guest house next to the beach. Walk to cafe and restaurants. Clean, homey, lovely house and super accommodating owners. Thoroughly enjoyed having tea in the sunroom watching the waves and the view!”

“The idea of using real silos and all the green solutions are great (not sure if there are solar panels). The room was very clean, it is fully functional and the various solutions are very ingenious (e.g. the hot water pipe to heat the towels). The bed was comfy and the glass bathroom/shower is very nice to see. The kitchen had everything needed and fresh milk was left in the fridge. No cupboard is available (note for the owners: considering the very modern design you may want to have a look at...

“It's a quiet and peaceful stay, perfect for a short getaway, the room is spotless, also we got everything we needed there. Tim and his little helper, the Rottweiler are so friendly and enthusiastic. Overall is nice, would give them a 10 out of 10!”
