Questo spazioso attico su due livelli fronte mare ha tutto: pavimenti in marmo, ripiani in granito e pareti di vetro che regalano viste panoramiche sui Caraibi. Le porte scorrevoli in vetro si aprono su terrazze avvolgenti che hanno tavoli e sedie, salotti e amache, da cui è possibile ammirare albe oceaniche e tramonti nella giungla.
La cucina, il soggiorno e la zona pranzo sono un enorme spazio a pianta aperta racchiuso da due pareti di vetro che offrono agli ospiti una vista a 180 gradi sull'oceano.
La cucina ben fornita con ampio ripiano in bancone di granito e bar, ti permette di goderti la vista sull'oceano e divertirti mentre prepari i pasti o mescoli le bevande. Oltre l'area cucina c'è il centro di intrattenimento con una TV da 43 pollici su cui è possibile guardare la tua scelta di oltre 100 DVD, uno stereo e CD, giochi e una vasta selezione di libri e guide turistiche. Il tavolo da pranzo con piano in vetro è un gradino e si affaccia sull'oceano e sulla baia di Akumal. Puoi lasciare i cursori di vetro aperti per goderti la brezza caraibica o semplicemente mangiare fuori al tavolo sulla terrazza.

Excellent stay, awesome place

Hi! I am Francesco, Italian, 32 years old and I just spent 5 nights at Mi Casa Del Mar in Akumal. The place is awesome and I do recommend the stay to everybody wants to enjoy the experience in the riviera Maya. Good points: 1. the whole apartment is breathless: private terrace, good finitures, double floors and a broad living area -perfect after a day around 2. the service (Maria, Jorge and the whole staff) is awesome and laundry is very cheap 3. the landlord has always been great with all us: available to any request and kind, I do recommend the place for Ms Rosemary Johnson, too 4. place is located in a key-area: 5 min walk by the Turltle Bay, 20 min from Sian Ka'An entry, Tulum and Playa del Carmen (that also means Isla Mujeres and Cozumel ferries), around 10 min from Cenote Dos Ojos and only less than 2 hours car from Cancun. If you want to visit the Riviera Maya, you cant miss this place as an excellent strategic position Bad points: Only 1 actually, and I cant "accuse" the place for that: the upper mansion has an open bathroom, that is an actual dream in normal conditions, expecially after a long day spent around. Yet, this season (August) is the grasshoper season, too: this means a lot of them inside the bathoroom, expecially in the morning. I do think that a simple-removable net might help. I also do underline how this point DOES NOT affect the excellent mark in anyway. You can trust me, after 44 Countries visited travelling during fun-roadtrips and for working, Ms Rosemary's place ranked 1st. Definitely.

The property was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need, so many games and puzzles for our stormy days, a lovely pool for cooling off, the master bathroom is really spectacular looking out over the forrest, the housekeeper was delightful and it was great having the fridge stocked before arriving with the help of the owners, who were always quick to respond with any questions. The property is an easy walk to local restaurants either direction. In hindsight we wish we had hired a car, it was very hard negotiating a remotely fair taxi rate to take you anywhere and the golf carts were expensive to rent. You also can not park the golf cart anywhere without paying which was frustrating. We also were not prepared for all the tour guides swarming you as you walk from the house towards Turtle Bay, trying to sell you snorkeling tours and boat tours. It is crucial to know that you can just walk to the counter and buy a wrist band, or visit the beach bar for breakfast/lunch/a drink and not even have to buy the wrist band. We never had a bad meal, those sticky buns are the most delicious things ever! We did try and contact the property manager on several occasions, but never got a response, but the owners were very helpful. The sea grass is a terrible problem, we were prepared, but it definitely impacted our stay. Our fishing trip was amazing, and having it cooked up for us was so special. Great trip and fabulous property.

Great Stay

Loved our 2 weeks in Akumal. Lots of space in the property. Bedrooms were large and cool! No AC in other rooms, but the fans and ocean breezes helped keep it cool even though we were there in an unusually hot and humid spell (end of May, first of June). Gorgeous views. Close to many restaurants and activities.

A hidden gem! You can't possibly be disappointed!

Our stay was absolutely beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice! We had 2 children (pre-teens) and six adults ranging from 30's to 60's. The condos location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to half moon bay and Akumal bay! We didnt need a rental car which was great. We did rent a golf cart which was handy for some of us who didn't want to walk everywhere. There were Aa variety of great restaurants and little markets in walking distance. The condo itself is so much prettier and bigger in person. Absolutely gorgeous!! Great pool, beautiful, clean property. The gardeners are amazing and Maria, the housekepper, is outstanding.The staff here are the friendliest and most accomidating people i've met! They really go above and beyond. Some of the residents here stay for a few months our of the year and they were so kind and helpful to us! The host was extremely responsive and accomidating to our needs.There is a guard on duty 24/7 and we felt so safe here! The town akumal was a perfect family destination. Best VRBO I've ever stayed in!

Great place to stay in Akumal

We loved our stay!The condo is very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated, and well supplied. The ocean views are beautiful. The pool is very pleasant as well. A great place to relax.The host Rosemary is great, provides timely responses, offers many recommendations, and even provided a high-chair and portacrib for the 9-month old baby who was with us.We highly recommend this place if you are planning to stay in Akumal.

The Perfect Stay

Can’t say enough about how excellent the stay was. Francisco and Maria were the best. Our host Rosemary was great. Informative, timely responses, great recommendations. The condo its self was perfect. Excellent space, great views, relaxing. A great place to start and end your day or just spend all day relaxing. We will definitely book this place with Rosemary again when we return to Akumal. We high recommend stay here.

Perfect Location with The Most Beautiful Views

Myself, husband, sister in law and six children stayed for a week in this beautiful spacious home! Location was perfect with easy access to restaurants and daily activities! The house was exactly as described and we had no issues all week long. Property grounds were so nice, security 24/7, we felt safe with all our children. Lots to do in the area. Pool and views were unforgettable!

Spring Vacation

Everything about our stay at Mi Casa Del Mar was perfect. The penthouse is beautiful with lovely views. The entire complex is very quiet. If you have children, the pool is fantastic, but you cannot access the water from the front of the unit because of the surf and rocks, but there are beaches close within walking distance, or you can rent a bike for the week. Rosemary was very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend this property.

We've stayed a Mi Casa Del Mar A4 many times and it never disappoints. These's not a better spot on the coast IMHO. Spacious with unbelievable views of the ocean, conveniently located, well appointed without being fancy or fussy and responsive staff. We love it!

Paradise in Akumal

This is a WOW property! The layout of the condo is fabulous and the view from all outside decks are absolutely amazing. The condo is ideally located to walk into town, to Akumal Beach, to Half Moon Bay and the lagoon. Rosemary sent very helpful information before our visit that is very comprehensive and really helped us out. Maria is wonderful and kept us supplied with clean beach towels and drinking water. I really have to think about anything that wasn’t great and the only thing I can think of is the shower head in the master suite could be changed so the spray isn’t so strong - very minor. Highly recommend this piece of paradise.

Christmas in Aukmakl

Our stay was wonderful. The home is spotless, and just like the pictures. Good supplies in the cupboard, fabulous view, close to shopping, beautiful beaches and good restaurants. Rosemary answered all of my questions and gave me good suggestions. One night it rained very hard and there was a leak in the roof over the bed in one of the rooms so better check if you encounter heavy rain! A quick bucket caught the water and it stopped as soon as the rain eased up. I would definitely stay again and was sad to leave. The place was comfortable and everything we could have hoped for.l

Better than pictures!

Our family spent 7 nights here and the pictures do not do justice to this amazing property. Everything was perfect. Rosemary is such an amazing host and so easy to reach and communicate with. The property is well taken care of and the house cleaner Maria is the sweetest person. She works hard so do tip her well. The town is within walking distance to several cute shops and restaurants.
