Excellent stay, awesome place
Hi! I am Francesco, Italian, 32 years old and I just spent 5 nights at Mi Casa Del Mar in Akumal.
The place is awesome and I do recommend the stay to everybody wants to enjoy the experience in the riviera Maya.
Good points:
1. the whole apartment is breathless: private terrace, good finitures, double floors and a broad living area -perfect after a day around
2. the service (Maria, Jorge and the whole staff) is awesome and laundry is very cheap
3. the landlord has always been great with all us: available to any request and kind, I do recommend the place for Ms Rosemary Johnson, too
4. place is located in a key-area: 5 min walk by the Turltle Bay, 20 min from Sian Ka'An entry, Tulum and Playa del Carmen (that also means Isla Mujeres and Cozumel ferries), around 10 min from Cenote Dos Ojos and only less than 2 hours car from Cancun. If you want to visit the Riviera Maya, you cant miss this place as an excellent strategic position
Bad points:
Only 1 actually, and I cant "accuse" the place for that: the upper mansion has an open bathroom, that is an actual dream in normal conditions, expecially after a long day spent around. Yet, this season (August) is the grasshoper season, too: this means a lot of them inside the bathoroom, expecially in the morning. I do think that a simple-removable net might help. I also do underline how this point DOES NOT affect the excellent mark in anyway. You can trust me, after 44 Countries visited travelling during fun-roadtrips and for working, Ms Rosemary's place ranked 1st. Definitely.
