Welcome to The Steele Magnolia!! Completely renovated 2 bed/1ba plus bonus pull out futon couch. We are located directly across the street from Von Stiehl Winery and are just a few minutes walk to Crescent Beach!

Please note that we are on the third story of the apartment building, and it is not handicap accessible. If you are unable to take the stairs, you may want to consider booking somewhere that is. :)

My husband and I also frequently stay here, I’m letting you know as we may see each other in passing!

Algoma, Wisconsin is a quaint community nestled on the western shore of Lake Michigan at the southern end of the Door Peninsula. Come and take the Charter fishing trip of a lifetime on Lake Michigan, stroll the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk, relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery or spend the day shopping and sightseeing. There is something for everyone!

No matter what you plan to enjoy in Northeast Wisconsin, Algoma is the ideal place to call home base. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and all that Algoma offers while being just a short drive away from Door County to the north, Scenic HWY 42 to the south, and Green Bay to the west.

The property does have a parking lot with one designated parking space per unit. For example if you are staying in unit 6, you will be designated parking spot number 6. If you have more than one of car, there is additional parking on the road or at the park down the street.

Note: This unit has been completely renovated but we are just waiting on our professional photos! The decor is similar but not the exact layout. This unit will include a rust orange velvet couch and fun light fixtures.

To access Unit 6 you will want to enter through the door with the side lights, which is accessed and visible from the parking lot. You will go up the stairs on your right all the way to the top of the stairs. Unit 6 will be the first door to your left on the third story.

Opening the front door you will find the floors to have all new luxury vinyl flooring and tastefully decorated. In the living room I have chosen the seating arrangement to be conversational and inviting. This includes an 84” sleeper futon couch, relaxing furniture, board games, variety of books and a large smart TV. Note: There is also an AC window unit located in the living room. If the temperature is hot outside, I recommend to turn the AC unit on when you check in so you can cool the suite off while your outside enjoying the town!

Through the living room opens to the hallway with the bathroom and bedrooms. The bathroom is fully renovated which includes a tub/tiled shower and beautifully designed tile floor. The bedroom to your right is furnished with a one queen and one twin bed. Note: This bedroom has a locked cabinet. Inside the locked cabinet are extra supplies for our cleaners. The bedroom to the left has plenty of hangers for everyone to utilize.

Entering into the kitchen which has all new cabinetry and full tile wall backsplash. I have added a huge kitchen table with 6 chairs along with a fully stocked coffee bar! The kitchen also has an exit door that leads out to the other staircase. You can use the same code for either door to exit/enter the building.

We are beginning renovations on this property in May 2022. I take great care in designing properties specifically with relaxation in mind and can't wait for you to relax and enjoy this property that is within walking distance to everything in Algoma!

Each unit has 1 parking spot in the parking lot. The parking spot has each unit number listed on the pavement. There is free parking anywhere on the side of streets and at the park across the street. The Steele Magnolia is directly walking/biking distance to everything in Algoma, from being across the street from Von Stiehl Winery, Von Stiehl Cider Bar, Anaphee Brewery, Smashed on the Rocks, charter fishing, downtown shopping and food, and the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk.

This property is a 9-unit apartment building. We do have other long-term renters in the building in units 6-9. This summer we plan on having a newly paved parking lot as well!

Laundry:
We do not have any washer and dryer hookups however we are lucky enough to have a laundry mat right next door!

Bugs:
Even though we have sprayed inside and outside twice a year, we are by the water! You can expect to see a few insects here and there.

Traveled in with my daughter and our dog from Chicago for the weekend. Picked up my aunt in very close by Green Bay. Apartment is exactly as described. Nice updated kitchen and bath, big comfy beds with plenty of pillows and fresh blankets. Lots of sunlight and view of the lake. There was even dog treats and food and water bowl out for our pup. Location is nice, in that it’s across from the winery and beach, several other bars/restaurants and even a lovely bakery around the corner. We drove up into door county so it’s convenient in location to explore with a day trip and you can see a lot in a short distance. I would just say that the parking lot/entry could use some curb appeal. Has a lot of potential as a nice place to sit and watch the marina and people, there’s live music across the way at the distillery and people sitting outside. The entry to the building just seemed run down, you can see into the first floor tenants units, torn screens in windows with blankets over the blinds. Dumpster right out in plain view, there’s just room for improvement at the entry/lot. Otherwise everything was nice.

We stayed at this property while attending an event at VonStiehl Winery. It was the perfect location and the unit met all our needs. It’s completed updated, we especially liked the ample dining table to gather and play games with friends. We were able to walk everywhere. Took nice walks along the.beach each morning and walked to the winery, restaurants and bars in the area. We would highly recommend this property.

A great place to stay! Nicely renovated, quiet, stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved our morning walks to the beach and our coffees at Caffe Tiazo on the way back. So Yummy!! Highly recommended if you want something close to Door County without the price of staying in Door County.

Owner was quick to respond to questions. The condo was as advertised, new fixtures were nice. Don’t get thrown by no central A/C, the large window unit eventually cools the place down. A good place to sleep for a reasonable rate while exploring Door County by day.

It was exactly as posted and more, the attention to detail that they provided was 5 star front the fully stocked kitchen including spices to the little things you might forget yourself in the bathroom. It was cozy and inviting with a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for you on the kitchen table. No need to hurry out the door in the morning they have provided you with a full coffee bar. This is definitely a place to stay. The hosts will check in on you to see if you have everything you need. You can feel safe and secure in this building and rest peacefully. The view is looking out on the lake watching the sunrise. Steel magnolia is the place you will want to stay you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Our family of four stayed at Steele Magnolia as our first stop on our Lake Michigan Circle Tour. The property was perfect for us. The unit was exactly as pictured. The beds were comfortable and the games for the kids in the living room were a great surprise. The town of Algoma is small, but we enjoyed great meals during our 2 night stay. It is also located in close proximity to Door County which makes for an easy day trip. Would highly recommend!
