“The Shem Creek Inn was a good home base for us in Charleston. The hotel pool was great. The location overlooking the river was really fun for people watching! Hotel parking is really convenient. Walkable to several restaurants right on the water and a quick drive to other restaurants on Sullivan's Island. The hotel breakfast is ok. Not great, but easy. Fridge and microwave in the room were really helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.”

“Staff very very nice; however, the hotel is not nearly as nice or spacious as it appears online. The public spaces feel very cramped and too small to really enjoy; for example the lobby is very small and right past the check in desk. Not a welcoming environment four lounging. The rooms are a good size but ours did not have a door between the room and the double vanity area of the bathroom which was very unappealing. Someone had stored fish in our mini fridge so the smell was horrible. It...
