Set on a private breathtaking acreage, this charming retreat offers a rare balance of seclusion and convenience — just minutes from the Hunter Expressway and approximately two hours from Sydney. Only 20 minutes to Cessnock or Maitland, you’ll enjoy easy access to town while feeling completely removed from city life.

    As you travel along the private driveway, you’ll pass a picturesque lagoon alive with birdlife and native wildlife, a newly planted vineyard along with dams scattered across the property. A thoughtful mix of cleared and selectively cleared land enhances both usability and natural beauty, creating a serene rural landscape ideal for soaking in the quiet surroundings.

    Privately elevated to capture sweeping northern and western views, the classic weatherboard homestead features a wide wraparound verandah perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Inside, four spacious bedrooms include a master suite with ensuite – all having external access to verandah or deck, while the open-plan living area showcases polished timber floors, high ceilings, fireplace and year-round comfort. Outside an inviting pool, fire pit and fully fenced grounds complete this exceptional country escape, offering space, privacy and timeless natural charm.

    Important note for party planners:
    Unfortunately, this is not the property for you. This home is located in a quiet neighbourhood, so a hens/bucks/schoolies type celebration is not appropriate. We can easily determine if the house rule of “No parties or events” is disrespected, and this means additional charges and/or eviction will apply, which everyone wants to avoid. If you are unsure, please enquire before booking.

    How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

    Arrival Details: Access to the property is made easy for you. We will send you an access code just before 2 pm on your arrival day via SMS and you will use this code for the duration of your stay.

    Pets: Pets are not allowed in this property.

    Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO.

    No Party Policy: We’re fortunate to be located in a peaceful community, and our local residents and property owners truly value the quiet nature of the area. We kindly ask all guests to be mindful of noise at all times, including conversations on balconies and outdoor areas late in the evening.

    To help us maintain a positive relationship with our neighbours, noise must be kept to a minimum between 10:00pm and 8:00am.

    We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please note that failure to respect these guidelines may result in the booking being cancelled.

    Extra Guests / Visitors: To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, only the guests listed on the booking are permitted at the property. Any additional guests must be approved in advance. Visitors may be welcomed for short periods with prior written consent. Unapproved guests may result in additional fees or further action.

    Cameras and Noise Monitoring: For the safety of our guests, the property, and the surrounding community, external security cameras may be installed at this property. These cameras are positioned only in external access areas (such as entry points) and are used solely for security and neighbourhood impact monitoring. All cameras are installed and operated in accordance with local regulations. Additional external cameras may be installed by the owner from time to time if required.

    Some properties may also be fitted with a noise monitoring device. These devices do not record conversations and are used only to help ensure compliance with our guest responsibilities and the NSW Short-Term Rental Code of Conduct. Guests must not disconnect, remove, or damage any monitoring equipment. Doing so may result in fines or further action.

    Guest Registration / ID Check: Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for a photo ID i.e. a copy of your driver's Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guest's names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

    Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'
