It is an easy, no traffic drive to the town of Ramona and some wineries are really close. The few negatives were the shower pressure is really low, the deck gets afternoon sun and there was no umbrella or shade, and the outdoor furniture was not well maintained and had rat poop on it. “Such a fun time to get back to San Diego’s East county. Cozy cabin feel, amazing view with tons of wildlife to watch all morning and evening. Birds, deer, turkeys. Close to the lake, hiking, fishing. Just a great place, you’ll spend all day on the patio. 6 miles into Julian For pie, local shops, mines to see. Great local food at The Pub at cuyamaca lake. Jeremy’s on the hill was good too. ”

“Our family stayed here for a weekend fishing trip to Lake Cuyamaca (about a 10 minute drive from the cabin). It was absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. Our family had everything we could ask for in terms of supplies and “at home” comforts in the cabin. The host was great and very responsive. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the patio area with the old California oaks and the other pretty trees throughout the yard. Make sure you go out and drink in the starry skies at night, too. “Sweet cottage, perfect for our family of 4.Clean, nicely decorated, plenty of towels/blankets. Appliances look new. Didn’t do any cooking on this trip but kitchen looked well stocked with anything we would need. Cara was easy to communicate with. Check in was very easy. Good location near downtown.”
