“Great historic hotel and great price. Right in the center of Arcata Plaza - so lots of cute shopping and restaurants. The sushi place connected to the hotel was tasty. The room we had suited our needs and the bathroom had great water pressure. Our "view" faced the other rooms and part of the roof which was a bummer but we also didn't hear any of the street noise. ”

“Despite its being a motel in an unsafe area on Hwy 101, across from a marijuana shop such that you get out of the car and smell it- the grounds, room, bed, and customer service were excellent. The front staff was always eager to help. The pool area has a tropical oasis vibe and hotel staff were often keeping it clean and tidy. You could tell the management was excellent.

“We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool.
We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy.”

Only issue was the old electrical outlets in the room that were loose and would not grip/hold the plug when you plug something in (like phone charger.)
