L'Anchorage vanta un parcheggio privato per un massimo di 6 auto sul retro e ampi giardini ben curati.

All'interno di questo gli ospiti troveranno un'ampia area di decking con tavoli e sedie perfetti per cenare all'aperto o semplicemente godersi un vino o un caffè durante il giorno.
Insieme a un barbecue e un grande forno per pizza c'è anche una buca per i più avventurosi e un ampio patio coperto quando necessario. C'è anche un lavandino esterno.

I bambini possono divertirsi con la sala giochi esterna e le altalene oltre al grande trampolino, che rende il cottage molto adatto alle famiglie.

Il giardino ha molte aree per gli ospiti per rilassarsi e una vasta gamma di passeggiate sono disponibili a portata di mano.

Essendo vicino all'acqua c'è una vasta scelta di attività per tutti i gusti, tra cui la pesca, il kayak o la pettinatura della spiaggia di ciottoli e la fauna selvatica comprende focene, sule, piccoli alici, cormorani, la balena dispari e molto altro ancora. Puoi osservare il cervo sulla collina dal giardino o i numerosi rapaci.

Lo stesso cottage è composto da un ampio salotto con altoparlanti bluetooth integrati e una grande TV intelligente da 50 "accoppiata con una bellissima stufa a legna per quelle notti accoglienti.

Il grande tavolo da pranzo con 6 posti a sedere si trova alle porte del patio con vista mozzafiato sul lago e sulle colline dove gli ospiti possono osservare la fauna selvatica mentre cenano.
La moderna cucina ha un grande forno con grill e un piano cottura elettrico a 4 fuochi che consente agli ospiti di cucinare facilmente e con molto spazio. Tutte le pentole, piatti e posate sono forniti più un grande frigorifero con congelatore, lavastoviglie, piano cottura lento e forno a microonde. Tutto è soddisfatto. La lavatrice si trova anche in cucina.

Al piano inferiore si trova anche un bellissimo bagno con vasca doppia e doccia.

Al piano superiore si accede alle 3 camere da letto splendidamente decorate con 2 letti matrimoniali e bagni con doccia. La terza camera da letto è la camera doppia. Tutte le camere hanno una vista straordinaria e una smart tv per guardare i tuoi film preferiti a letto.

Tutti gli asciugamani e le lenzuola saranno forniti e il cottage è dotato di tutto il necessario per il vostro soggiorno.

Per i bambini più piccoli un seggiolone e una culla possono essere forniti su richiesta.
L'ancoraggio è riscaldato con riscaldamento a gas, una stufa a legna e ha la banda larga.

David was a very helpful and thoughtful host and left gifts on our arrival which was a nice touch. He was very quick to respond and very helpful. The property has lots of facilities.

Canadian USA friendship tour

The property was outstanding, more than we expected and David a very gracious host. The views were stunning, location superb. We explored many areas and visited so many places. We enjoyed the pubs locally and afar and food was always good as was the service. We enjoyed the BBQ hut and amenities in the property. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated. We would certainly recommend this property

Arrochar stay

Overall an enjoyable stay. Cottage is very clean and has most modern amenities(with the exception of no clothes dryer). Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Well equipped cottage in a beautiful location

We had a greay week at The Anchorage. The property had lovely views over Loch Long and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner, David, was a pleasure to deal with before and during our stay. Although Arrochar is a small village, it does have a couple of eateries. The Village Inn was OK - the food a little overpriced and portion sizes rather small. However, Cu Mara was excellent and is only a 15 minute walk from the cottage. This is lovely part of Scotland and we would certainly stay at the Anchorage again if we were to return to this part of the world.

Fantastic family holiday

What an absolute gem! So glad we found and booked this property in Arrochar. The house is in a stunning location on the edge of the village with breathtaking views over Loch Long. There was everything that any family would need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay without any worries. Equipped and furnished to high standard. From well stocked games cabinet, games room, pizza oven, BBQ hut and watersport equipment there is something for you to use in the sunshine or rain. We spent an absolutely amazing wee there. David was an exceptional host who communicated well with us before, during and after our stay. He has thought of everything to cater for his guests.

Fantastic house and location!

We had a great time staying here and can wholeheartedly recommend it! The pictures do not do this place justice, the views are amazing and the house is cozy and has a warm and loving feeling. We stayed here for six days and our only regret is not staying longer. David is also a great host who answered our questions immediately and we felt well taken care of both before and during our stay. We will definitely want to come back at some point!

Sweet spot

Older cottage but very well-done reno (NOT diy-type if you know what I mean). Bedrooms are small but sufficient. Not a spec of dirt and trust me our little one would have found it if there was one! Handy to hiking, birds of prey center, really cool botanic garden, boat tour on Loch Lomond, and a really neat farm tour at Lennox of Lomond. Thank you David! Fantastic!

Fantastic place, well recommended

Perfect location overlooking Loch Long and just a couple of miles from Loch Lomond too. Homely, very clean and very well equipped, though too wet and windy unfortunately use the kayaks, outdoor pizza oven and bbq- !! We would certainly love to return. Plenty of walks nearby and just a few steps to the Village Inn for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners( good), other places to eat and village shop all within walking distance.

Wonderful cottage with great views

David's cottage was everything the description says and more. We enjoyed the back yard fire pit, grill and views were outstanding. I highly recommend and will stay here again in the future.

Fantastic property in a beautiful surrounding

Our family of four had an amazing stay at the property. The cottage is extremely well equipped- both inside and out and spotlessly clean. There were so many thoughtful touches to make our stay as comfortable as possible including fully equipped kitchen, roomy living spaces, comfortable beds and three bathrooms. The host had also provided lots of board games and TV streaming services to keep our family entertained. The outside space was really amazing- several barbeque areas, trampoline and a games room and kayaks that we took onto the Lock several times- access is directly outside the cottage. And the village itself has a pub restaurant literally yards away and a cafe for lunch. There are so many beautiful walks right on the doorstep and the view from the property of the Loch and mountains was spectacular. Communication with David the host was a pleasure. Would love to visit again.

Great Stay

This has to be one of the best deals in Scotland. The photos do not do the view justice, it is centrally located for short day trips to highlands/loch lomond/glasgow, and David is a fantastic host. Everything was clean, lots of snacks and information about the property/location were provided upon entry, and we were able to fit 5 adults very comfortably for a whole week!

I could write a long comment on the house, but can also keep it short and sweet: we had a super holiday and the house was absolutely fantastic! It had everything and even more and it was prestine! Everything one could wish for! I could have easily stayed much longer as there was still so much to do, in and around the house! If I ever come back to Scotland (which I hope!), I will definitely come back to this house. Contact with the owner was clear, very friendly and helpful! So thanks again, David, for providing your house!!

A lovely break

Thank you for a lovely stay. The cottage was perfect with everything (and more) that we needed. Our 10 and 8 year old boys enjoyed the games room, our 3 year old loved the garden, and we enjoyed the peace of the local area. A great find.

Excellent stay in a beautiful setting

Very well equipped house in a beautiful setting and location, which is close to an excellent pub! Having access to the kayaks was great, we enjoyed getting out on the loch! There was plenty of space for 5 adults both inside and out. The only negative is that we wish we could have brought our dogs, as they would have loved it! The welcome package was a nice little touch too! Would highly recommend staying here; if we are ever in the area again would happily stay again and again!

Comfortable and well equipped house in a beautiful location

Comfortable and well equipped house in a beautiful location. Everything was provided as listed including a thoughtful welcome pack and some toiletries. Good outdoor space, especially for families (if only you could rely on the Scottish weather). Loved having use of the kayaks (be aware they are pretty heavy to manoeuvre). Fantastic location, especially for those who love the outdoors. Beautiful views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Short staggering distance to the Village Inn where you can get a decent bar meal and drinks. Fab walks on the doorstep and close to Loch Lommond for other activities too. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of two adults and two teens although I feel it would have been a little cosy for 6 adults. The log burner and TVs (included in all bedrooms) were enjoyed when the weather was not so good. Thanks for being a good and responsive host.

Absolutely perfect!

David was absolutely AMAZING! There was no stone unturned when it came to making myself and my good friends feel at home. The host had a little welcome basket full of Scottish goodies and our very own Canadian LEGO Lumberjacks, in reference to our group of friends. The views were amazing, binoculars were provided to look at the various landscapes and beautiful birds, and the bed spreads were very warm and comfy - great for a winter holiday. The Canadian Lumberjacks Crew shall be returning soon! Thanks for an amazing stay.

Absolutely wonderful

Stunning location

The owner David was excellent to deal with and responded very quickly. The property is in a gorgeous location with stunning views. We used the kayaks and had a great laugh. Outside area is great. Plenty to keep you occupied. Good to have a gas bbq as well as a conventional one. Bedrooms are quite small but functional, great having the 3 bathrooms. There are 2 bars & 3 hotels in Arrochar. A must try restaurant is Slanj just up the road by car at Tarbet.
