    Questo cottage confortevole e indipendente si trova in una posizione appartata nella piccola tenuta di Erw Goed, che si trova tranquillamente all'interno del Parco Nazionale di Snowdonia. Situato tra il bellissimo estuario di Mawddach e le colline di Cadair Idris, a soli 3 km dalle splendide spiagge sabbiose di Fairbourne e Barmouth. Si accede alla proprietà attraversando un terreno accidentato e attraverso una piccola passerella su un ruscello. Gli ospiti hanno il solo uso del giardino recintato di 1 ettaro con torrente che scorre, c'è un campo di fuoco disponibile per cucinare all'aperto o falò, e gli ospiti sono anche invitati a esplorare 12 acri di giardini e boschi incontaminati di Erw Goed, così come incontrare il bestiame tra cui anatre, polli, tacchini, api ea volte maiali. Il sentiero Mawddach è facilmente accessibile e la città mercato di Dolgellau si trova a 6 miglia di distanza. Passeggiate, trekking a cavallo, pesca e golf sono disponibili localmente. Coed-y-Brenin, 10 miglia, è un rinomato centro di mountain bike. Negozio, pub e ristorante 3 miglia.

Stunning seclusion

We stayed at Arthog for a week in a sunny August. The house is set in a stunning private 30 acres with exceptional views of the mountains and Mawddach estuary from the small hill behind the cottage. It was a perfect place for our anxious dog to explore and was so peaceful. The surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful with beaches, lakes, mountains, historic places and high adrenaline activities all on hand. The owners are very friendly and the cottage is very comfortable and homely.

Our second time visiting this year and we love this part of the country and we do love the cottage too. We do have a couple of tiny suggestions tho: firstly the tv could do with a bit of an upgrade, it’s dated and the remote won’t work unless you’re very close to it. Secondly, maybe provide a lamp for the living area, it’s really not cosy having the “big light on”. Be helpful if there was a light in the conservatory too. Like I say these things are small but rectifying them would make a huge difference! We were told the three bullocks in the field to the viaduct would ignore us and our dog. Our dog was on our lead and got headbutted a few times. It was quite unsettling for us and our elderly collie.

If you want a get away from it all kinda holiday, Erw Goed Hen Feudy is for you.

If you want a get away from it all kinda holiday, Erw Goed Hen Feudy is for you. Think gingerbread house deep in the woods: you won't see another soul, if you don't want to, and the only sounds you will hear are bird song and the stream rushing through the garden. If you want shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep, it's not for you! Hen Feudy is warm and comfy, but is not furnished to luxury, modern standards. Rather, it is welcoming and homely - the ideal place to return to when you (and your dog) are soaking wet and muddy. The only thing it lacked was a coffee table in the lounge, but maybe that had been removed because of Covid19? Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A lovely peaceful cottage situated in its own 1 acre garden with a stream running through the ground

A lovely peaceful cottage situated in its own 1 acre garden with a stream running through the grounds and surrounded by woodland. Perfect for the dog! Lots of local walks and the nearest town, Dolgellau, is only a short drive away and has a well stocked supermarket (follow the sign for the Leisure Centre). Will definitely return. Stunning setting really loved it good accommodation there are a few things that need fixing in the cottage like most houses to keep every body happy but we did not have any issues with them . Would highly recommend It. Are dog loved the garden and never had a drink from his own dish all the time we were there he always went to the small steam that's runs through the property . Love the place and will return . The owners are very helpful and make sure you try the honey !!!

Dog owners paradise; numerous walks from the cottage itself, lakes, waterfalls and only 5 minutes to the Mawddach trail with the George III a few miles along with excellent food. Didn’t find any other notable eateries and quite a trek (25mins by car) to nearest supermarket so best to go prepared (kitchen well equipped). Lovely large, private garden with garden furniture to relax in with dogs. Only negative points the access from the road is not suited to a low level car, and the cottage and garden would benefit from a bit of tlc.

What a fantastic holiday cottage ! We enjoyed the totaly relaxing experience with the only noise being the lovely little stream at the bottom of the garden and the cute sound of the hens/ducks etc. The place was spotless. It was wonderful seeing the workings of the bee hive with the information given by Paul and Pauline very informative. The creams and soaps hand made by Paul and Pauline are amazing products . The honey was delicious too. A much relaxed holiday enjoyed by all with us booking again for next year. Thank you again for a lovely relaxing holiday.
