“It was a simple room which had easily what we needed for a night.”

“It's lovely basic bach and comes with a functional kitchen with stove tops and oven. It's near Arthur's Pass railway station and was not positively surprised with the amount of train traffic late at night and early morning, not ideal for light sleepers. Surroundings are stunning though especially with the fresh snow on the mountains. Walking distance to the village.”

“If you want a peaceful place to stay but easy to get to, Barry's wee cottage/prefab is fabulous. It was great to disconnect for a quiet weekend of walking and reading.”

“We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right.”

“It was cold in the bedrooms and the showers were only Luke warm Reasonable cost Very relaxed”

“The king size bed was the best. Everything there that you need. Some minor maintenance issues.”
