“Great location right off Main Street but away from the crowds. Food options were very limited for non-meat eaters. We would have loved to have dinner at the beautiful restaurant in the hotel but it was very meat-oriented. The rooms are basic but very nice, and designed almost Nordic-style (like Iceland). The hospitality was incredible! The staff were exceptionally friendly and are there to make your stay great. The iced coffee drinks at the "Pharmacy" were delicious! ”

“Walking distance from all of the restaurants and stores, yet far enough away that it’s quiet and private. Beautiful outdoor area with trees and chairs. Everything was clean and new. Though the platform bed was comfortable enough for us, it was pretty firm. Toiletries provided. Standard coffeemaker. Parking is provided, but to leave, you have to back out of a very long, somewhat narrow driveway. We relied on our backup cameras. Overall, a great experience and would definitely stay here again. ”

“It was far from town and the road noise was loud at times. The cabin was very clean but very rustic. Not our thing. Bathtub didn't have a plug and it was strange that there were no tissues. Served our purpose but won't stay there again when we go back to Fredericksburg. They did communicate often and well - I will give them that.”

“This was our second stay in the La Hermosa suite and it was perfect! My husband and I love this property, the room is beautiful and so thoughtfully appointed. The complimentary snacks and drinks are very nice. The pool area is wonderful. During the first stay they brought breakfast in the morning, but they do not offer it anymore. Not sure if this is a seasonal or permanent change, but we did miss it. Nonetheless The Menagerie is just fantastic!”
