“My wife and I stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. We didn’t make use of the amenities so I am not able to comment on them. The term “Resort” is a little misleading however as for hotel accommodation, it is good. While a little dated, the Methven Resort has all that is needed for a comfortable stay. “Room appeared to have been recently redone. Small garden was beautiful. After hours key drop was convenient. Staff helpful. Room was in excellent condition and very comfortable. Kitchenette was more than adequately stocked for two people. We were worried about noise as our room was closest to a main road near a railway. The traffic did not keep us awake. Other rooms were more distant from the traffic. Definitely recommend as a comfortable place to stay in Ashburton.”

“The checking in was frustrating we arrive at one o’clock now one in office so came back at 2 o’clock now one there so phoned told she won’t be far. Half an hour later 4 customer waiting the lady finally arrived. Not a good look. There was 2 of us stay for 3 nights. Only one lot of toiletries in the bathroom and on the second day asked for more toilet paper. Sorry you have to pay for more.
