“Excellent location but requires a 100 dolllar bond per night and checking in required photo identification. The security system at checking seemed over the top. The staff were embarrassed at having to explain. Understand for people off the street but off putting for nationals. Room cleaning attendants didn’t appear until 4.45pm - meant that we couldn’t use our room until late in the day. Great concierge service. Very helpful.”

“We were upgraded to a suite which was great. So much room. While some of the common spaces are starting to show their age the room was great and fairly modern. ”

“The Kamana Lakehouse is exceptional. We felt very well taken care of our whole stay. The front desk staff was extremely accomodating, holding our bags before check in and taking them to our room and booking a taxi for an excursion. The servers and bar staff we're great as well. The food was the best we had on our entire trip to NZ. The included breakfast in the morning is completely worth it! It's easy to get to the wharf via Uber or the bus. You can also walk to the Sunshine Bay Track nearby...

“ There are no plates or bowls spoons or knives. the TV did not work when we arrived the shower curtain is far too small and short Consequently the water goes everywhere. the apartment needs to be decorating. It looked old and well used.”
