“Very dirty rooms and public areas, Smoke from Casino wafts into lobby and restaurants. In an almost empty dining room we were denied sitting by windows to see the "view" of river. We were told this was because the window seats were reserved for a large group (group never materialized while we were eating).”

“I had such a wonderful time at the Baer House! LaTonya, the house manager, treated me like royalty--and a good friend. The home is magnificent and not just cared for but loved. I would highly recommend staying here. It surpassed my expectations! Thank you, everyone, for making me feel at home.”

I had someone who claimed to be from the front desk who tried to get information about me, whether I was alone, who else was there, etc. I reported it to the hotel who said no one called. But they brushed it off as no big deal and wouldn't take me seriously. 30 minutes late someone tried to get into my room. Again called the front desk. Wasn't taken seriously. Had to call the police and got them to stay in site while I packed my stuff and left. I asked to get...

“Love this place. A truly lovely house (that stairway!), delicious, innovative breakfast shared with interesting fellow travelers. The host was funny and welcomed us to far more items in the kitchen than one would expect. Highly recommend, and would gladly go back.”

“Very old property and not well maintained. No elevator, entrance to the casino is closed. You have to walk outside and go around. Toilet handle broke and the clerk from the front desk came to try and fix it. A little upgrade and would do this property good. Staff was very friendly.”
