Stunning, serena, casa rustica nei boschi vicino a Spring Green, Wisconsin

Costruito nel 1976, questo apprendista Frank Lloyd Wright progettato casa è immerso nelle dolci colline della valle del fiume Wisconsin su 30 acri di foresta di latifoglie e restaurato prateria nativa. Open space soggiorno, sala da pranzo e cucina con soffitti alti 18 piedi, lucernari e stufa a legna d'epoca. Le porte scorrevoli in vetro si aprono su un ponte di 400 metri quadrati sospeso tra gli alberi e si affaccia sul laghetto sottostante. Cucina e bagni recentemente ristrutturati. Cucina con gamma di gas, frigorifero full size, forno a microonde, lavastoviglie e dispensa fornita. Grill a gas all'aperto. 2 camere da letto, ognuna con un letto matrimoniale e bagno completo. ampi armadi, lenzuola e asciugamani.
A metà strada tra Spring Green e Dodgeville. A circa 12 miglia da American Players Theatre, dal centro Spring Green e da Taliesin di Frank Lloyd Wright. 50 miglia a Madison.

We have come to this place for 6 years and this year, the House was fairly clean, however, they’re definitely is a pest issue with Japanese beetles that look like ladybugs, but they bite. Anywhere we turned the lights on. They were all over the bed wall, living room, on the couch and we would find them on us as well.The couch has been replaced in the last few years, but it is extremely uncomfortable to a point where you cannot cuddle on it or anything. It’s made from metal posts and the cushions are as hard as can be. It would be nice to have something that’s a little more plush since this is the only main area in the living room to sit and watch TV.The TV needs major updating. It is so small and very hard to hear it would be so easy and inexpensive to buy a bit larger inexpensive tv and mount on wall to be more up to date with technology. Master bathroom has a skylight that seems to accumulate bugs and they drop on the bathroom counter (often)! Could be an easy fix with a more secure skylight or cover over it to eliminate bugs and ants from falling. Master bedroom and bathroom both need some kind of curtains or blinds on the windows. When you get out of the shower, you are literally standing into a window with no privacy. Also- One of the best things we love about this property is the birdwatching on the patio. However, the last day and a half there was no birdseed left so it would be nice to have some stock because we really missed that the last two days.

Everything was great! Very relaxing and the birds (and squirrels) loved the sunflower seeds.We did notice a few ants falling on the same spot on the bathroom sink during our stay. easy to deal with, but might be something to look at in the spring. The spot was in the front center of the counter, below the far right side of the skylight.Thanks again and Happy New Year!

What a perfect spot to unwind! We stayed here for a few days following our wedding, and it was the ideal escape to disconnect from all the chaos of wedding planning and daily life! We absolutely loved birdwatching in the mornings and our quiet evenings by the fireplace. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the pots, pans, and tools needed for homemade meals. Our two senior dogs had a fantastic time too, with lots of snoozing and watching the wildlife from the windows. We hope to stay again very soon! Thank you, Phyllis!

This was our second stay at the house. Everything was just as wonderful as our first stay. It’s impossible to feel stressed when you’re in this lovely house, surrounded by trees. Fortunately, it was cooler this trip so we were able to take advantage of the wonderful wood stove. Can’t wait til our next trip.

Have stayed here multiple times. Always welcoming, spotlessly clean, and peaceful. This is a special home, lovingly cared for, and we appreciate that we can enjoy the home, the surrounding wooded property, and the beautiful area. The drives to nearby towns and state parks are an added bonus. Even our dog never wants to leave this place!

Beautiful property in an amazing off the beaten path location. Very drivable to area attractions like downtown Spring Green and American Players Theater. Large deck with cute lights to enjoy the evenings, lots of vintage furnishings, and everything you'd need in the kitchen. Great stay!

We went for a weekend and stayed in this beautiful place. It is exquisitely decorated and has everything that you could possibly want. We saw shooting stars, as the night sky was perfectly dark without city lights. We were only a five minute drive to Spring Green for shopping and sightseeing. This felt both totally remote and convenient, and such a gorgeous house!!

Wonderful place out in nature to get away and unplug. Spent sunny days on the deck that felt like a treehouse and cool nights inside by the fireplace. The house was comfortable and well appointed.
