Cozy Cottage on Crooked Lake

Come escape to a beautiful lake front house that offers stunning views and ultimate relaxation. Nestled under a canopy of shady Oaks you will find a quiet retreat to recharge and connect with nature. Warm, cathedral, cedar ceilings welcome you as you enter the house along with expansive views of the lake. This mid-century modern gem offers 2200 square feet of living space with 3 en suite bedrooms that can accommodate 8 guests. Families are welcome! You can launch your boat at Bobs Landing (.2 miles from our home) to enjoy all that Crooked Lake has to offer (boating, skiing, kayaking, fishing, swimming). You can also take advantage of the theme parks that are in the area (Legoland, Disney, Universal), or stroll through Beautiful Bok Tower Gardens, a 250 acre garden and bird sanctuary in nearby Lake Wales.


You will have all the comforts of home with our fully stocked kitchen and Weber grill. We have a Keurig coffee maker that takes pods or makes a full pot of coffee. All linens are provided. Other amenities include high speed Wifi, Smart TVs, X-Box, lakefront beach, kayaks, stand up paddle board, boat dock, fire pit, and a large wrap around deck.


As the sun sets, you can reflect on your day with a beachside fire while roasting s’mores. Our newly expanded deck offers plenty of outdoor living space to read a book or take in the gorgeous setting.

We had an amazing time here! The house was perfect for us, and felt more spacious than I expected! All the rooms were comfortable and we really enjoyed the view from the kitchen. The Owner was extremely friendly and responsive. We would love to come back again!

We enjoyed our stay at Cozy Cottage. The place is well equipped and very nice. Probably one of our more relaxing vacations we have had. Kerrie was also very nice and easy to deal with. We are definitely wanting to go back.

Great get-a-way!!

We came here to unwind and relax during Spring Break. Communication with Kerrie was good. She answered all my questions in a timely manner.Let's just say, when we got there and opened the door we were all like "WOW"! The view was stunning!! This is exactly what we were looking for! The rooms were big and had plenty of space. Each room has a bathroom. Kitchen was WELL equipped for cooking and more. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The place was decorated very nice and was clean.The use of the paddle board, and kayaks were awesome! We spent most of our time out on the dock fishing (didn't catch anything, but had fun), kayaking, paddle boarding (all of our 1st time), and hanging outside. It was very relaxing just sitting outside in the fresh air around the fire pit with the chairs or on the deck with the outdoor couch. We used the fire pit also at night.The week we went was fabulous weather!! The water was a bit chilly but we seemed to enjoy the amenities! We really loved the view from the kitchen, we had our coffee outside with the birds as well! We saw a family of otters playing in lake one day! It was really neat! The views on the way to get to this house are surrounded by citrus fields, so you feel like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle! :)We did have run in with the neighbors dogs often, they even came into the backyard at times. It was a GREAT stay and we would definitely come back if we were going to be in the area again or wanted to just "get away".

Lakeside Getaway in Central Florida!

We had a nice stay at this lakeside property! It was the perfect balance of comfort and simplicity—everything we needed, but nothing overwhelming. The location was serene, with beautiful views of the lake, and it offered a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle. There were plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, like kayaking and fishing right off the dock—everything felt just right for a peaceful, laid-back vacation. The property was well-located, with easy access to nearby towns and attractions, but we were also content just to unwind by the water with a fire.

Stay

The house is nice. The view is amazing. Nice big yard! There are 3 showers No bathtub if you have children, handheld showers would have been helpful. Dogs from both neighbors came in yard all week. The dogs learned how to jump their electric fence. no easy dockage since there was hurricane damage… we were told about it on our way to house. It was hard to get in and out of boat walking in the water and climbing in boat for some adults. No closets in 2 of the bedrooms. The owners were very accommodating and kind. Overall we had a good stay.

Shady Oaks on the lake

This space checks alot of boxes, large drive way for parking , Lake view perfection under a shady canopy of Oaks, great deck area for grilling, spacious living, beds for everyone, back queen bed rooms were a little warm compared to master, front twin room for sleeping comfortably, dock access kayaks were fun perfect for a boat, convenient to Bobs landing for launching, beach area was nice and relaxing, front row seat to fireworks on the lake, excess grass in the water at beach was a bit mucky thick when swimming, removing or dragging the shallow to clean it up would make it great, all in all a wonderful place for family & friends! Highly recommended:)

Cozy Cottage at Crooked Lake is worth the price

We five spread out comfortably across the three separate suites, each with its own bathroom featuring plenty of plush white towels and large walk-in tile showers. We enjoyed relaxing evenings in the great room - complete with a bar, comfortable furnishings, and a large entertainment system. The rustic vaulted ceiling’s lovely pine boards, along with three incredible Elk trophies mounted to the upper walls, are amazing to behold. We spent early mornings in the well-organized and outfitted kitchen / dining area, looking out over the deck, tree-shaded yard, and beach, to views of birds and wildlife on the calm lake. A wonderful time creating memories at Crooked Lake!

Family Weeknd

Our family recently staid at the Cozy Cottage on Crooked Lake for an extended weekend to visit with my son and his wife for their baby shower and first just let me say the pictures do not do it justice, it is absolutely stunning! It was everything we could have possibly wanted! Very spacious, more than enough room for everyone (6 in our party not including visitors) to have their own space and plenty of room to have visitors come and enjoy an afternoon on the lake. Everything you need for a stay away from home has been thought out and provided in every way. Kerrie was so wonderful to work with and always a text away if needed. We will definitely be renting again as soon as our grandson arrives and spending lots of time with the whole family on the lake, we can not wait to return!

Very nice accommodations

I would suggest you leave more dishwashing soap and more than one dishwasher pod. Also single ply toilet paper is useless. You don’t save money there. People just use 3x more. I would expect that from a rest stop bath room but not from an upscale weekend rental. It is a lovely place and we really enjoyed it. Sometimes it’s just those little things that you can do that your guest will really appreciate. Thank you

Great vacation

We enjoyed staying here. Great location on the lake, clean, is well supplied with towels, kitchens tools, etc…. Beds are comfortable! Open concept is great and kitchen overlooks the lake which is wonderful. The patio is great as well! The only comment I have is that one of the three bedrooms is not fully closed in, meaning the wall doesn’t go all the way up the ceiling so staying in that room you will hear most of the noise going on in the house. Other than that our stay was great!!!

weekend at Crooked lake

The house was so clean and updated. It sits on the lake in a perfect spot with plenty of outdoor chairs and activity if wanted. I even saw different size life vests for use in one closet. The open floor plan of the home is really nice and having a bath in each bedroom was a big plus for us. Plenty of clean fresh towels in each bath and the beds were so comfy with quality mattresses. There is also a t.v. in each room. The kitchen was great and equipped nicely for cooking. There was plenty of glassware in the kitchen and behind the bar (often at vaca rentals you dont have enough of these things). Looking out over the lake while in the kitchen is so beautiful!! The owner was very attentive and responded quickly. We are definitely looking forward to going back and spending more time outdoors on the lovely beach/lake area. Thank you.
