Baite a Bakersville

“Excellent location!! The property is absolutely charming and is every thing you could want from 170 year old log cabin. So close to Grandfather Mountain. We loved sitting by the gas fireplace. The screened in porch was an excellent place to eat dinner. Had an issue with streaming services on the TV but the host responded immediately and worked with us to get the matter resolved so we could watch our favorite shows after exploring Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Would definitely stay again!”

“Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. ”

“Really great place and amazing value! Easy to get to in Linville Falls and close to the caverns and Banner Elk. House is cozy and clean. Even though the listing allows smokong on designated areas, there isnt any smell in the house. I assume the designated area is outside.”

“Beautiful place and amazing views! My only complaint was that the drive to the cabin was very steep and rocky on unpaved roads. We avoided leaving the cabin in order to limit the amount of times we drove up there. Definitely bring a good car for off-roading! Other than that the cabin was stunning, clean, and the perfect getaway.”

“Me & my fiancé stayed for 2 nights and I promise you it was not long enough. We loved every single thing about this place from the views and quietness, to the cozy and warm atmosphere inside. If you’re looking for a getaway or anniversary trip or even just some peace and quiet this is the spot. There are neighbors but everyone is so quiet we never saw them or heard them. ”

“The cabin was nice and well equipped but the driveway was impossible to get up. Not sure we would have been able to get up the driveway in better circumstances, but it was a complete sheet of ice and one person in our party got stuck halfway up in a jeep. We had to park at the bottom on a sheet of ice, which someone slipped on, and bring our stuff up the 5 mins hike it took (I timed it) with our luggage. This should have been communicated before our stay, but it was not.”

“This is a sweet little place of joy, exactly as advertised! The property had dozens of whimsical decorations and nooks carved out to sit a spell and rest. Staying on property is an activity in itself, so carve out time during your stay!”

“Great location that is hidden gem. Very quiet area with abundant wildlife. Recent snow made for some fun critter tracking. The Trapper cabin had all the conveniences we needed.”

We loved that there was a small book nook for children and adults! The layout of the house was great for our medium sized group. We would love to return another time! ”
