Stile e comfort: benvenuti a The Bobbin

Questo delizioso cottage classificato di II grado (parte di una vecchia calza) situato nel pittoresco Peak District beneficia di essere a pochi passi dal negozio del villaggio, dalla sala da tè e da alcuni pub di cracking! Pedalate sul Monsal Trail o camminate negli splendidi giardini della Chatsworth House, entrambi sono facilmente accessibili e vi attendono viste meravigliose. Una visita alla vicina città mercato di Bakewell per assaggiare il famigerato Bakewell Pudding, è anche un must! Il nostro obiettivo è stato quello di rendere The Bobbin, una "casa lontano da casa" estremamente confortevole: divertiti!

Il cottage è suddiviso su tre piani e comprende:
Cucina, soggiorno con zona pranzo, camera matrimoniale, camera doppia e bagno familiare.

Sul retro c'è un cortile comune, accessibile dalla cucina con tavolo e sedie e due annessi, uno per il bucato e l'altro per le biciclette.

Per quanto riguarda i bambini che giocano fuori, si prega di notare che non vi è alcun cancello per chiudere il cortile.

Inoltre, la scala è ripida e potrebbe non essere adatta a bambini molto piccoli, ad esempio bambini piccoli e anziani.

Accesso ospite:
Gli ospiti possono parcheggiare di fronte / vicino alla proprietà e avere accesso dal lato destro dell'edificio e dalla cucina al cortile sul retro del cottage.

Il vicinato:
La bobina è perfettamente situata nel cuore del villaggio ed è ideale per chi ha e senza mezzi di trasporto. Ashford in the Water è ricca di storia e con il Monsal Trail a portata di mano, c'è molto da vedere e da fare. Puoi goderti una giornata visitando il gioiello del Derbyshire, Chatsworth o fare un salto a Bakewell (The Pointing Dog & Duck by the river è un posto eccellente dove mangiare) e poi ad Haddon Hall. La vicina stazione di Hassop ha anche una meravigliosa caffetteria, un negozio di libri e articoli da regalo con noleggio di biciclette / biciclette.

Little gem of a cottage in beautiful village

True to listing, this cottage is on three levels. It is thoughtfully decorated and comfortable with everything you could need. Pubs, walks and wonderful historic areas close by.We hope we can visit again !

We absolutely loved our stay at The Bobbin and just wish it were longer. The cottage is cosy and inviting, and it was our perfect home base to explore Derbyshire. Everything was clean, Simon was wonderfully communicative, and we loved the tip about going to the Ashford Arms for dinner. It was so good we went back the next night. We're already dreaming up an excuse to stay here again!

Cosy and comfortable

Only had 3 nights to enjoy the area, but provision of maps was very welcome and easy access for lovely countryside, especially biking on the Monsal Trail. Simon and Debs were most helpful with information and communication before our arrival and had easy control of the heating after unusual cold weather!

A quaint Little Cottage

Very central to the village of Ashford in the water. Local bus but not sure how often it is. Two Local pubs serving great food. Very clean and comfy beds. No problem parking in the street outside property. Overall a comfortable stay. VERY QUIET

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was in a perfect spot for us to explore the peak district and Ashford is a beautiful and quiet village (we totally recommend Aisseford tearoom for breakfast and check out the Sheep bridge on the river). The cottage itself was beautifully presented with lots of charming features and had everything we needed for a short break. We are already thinking about dates for a return visit!

Lovely Peak District stay

We had a great time staying at the bobbin, which we found to be just as it was described and perfect for a weekend with friends. Ashford in the water is a lovely place, close to Bakewell and Chatsworth. There are lots of walks nearby and the pub round the corner does fantastic food. Owners were very friendly and helpful, would definitely like to return.

Cramped and Basic

We found The Bobbin to be cramped and rather dark inside with a disappointing outside concrete courtyard that is shared by other properties and that has a view of several dustbins. The kitchen is small with limited facilities. There is for example no microwave or dishwasher. Also, the fridge did not have a freezer section. We found it somewhat difficult preparing and cooking meals in such a compact space. The property is on three stories with the bathroom and toilet on the top floor. Getting to the top floor entails climbing treacherously steep stairs with narrow treads. On the plus side, there is a pub within walking distance. The second pub in the village is closed at present. We felt so constrained by the tightness of the space in The Bobbin that we spent one night at the nearby Riverside House Hotel in a room with an outside terrace. It felt wonderful to be able to sit outside with a view of grass and flowers. The restaurant there was exceptional.

Great place for a long weekend

Everything provided as described. The location was great with easy access to walks, made better by the supply of local OS Maps. It is also not too far to Bakewell. The ducks by the river were great entertainment for a 1 year old too.

A short break around Ashford in the water.

A great cozy cottage in the peaceful village of Ashford. Ideal location for outdoor activities and only 5 minutes from Bakewell. The owners welcomed us at the property and all the details of the cottage were clearly explained.

Fantastic break

The Bobbin was a fantastic location for a great weekend away. Small and cosy, but with everything we needed. Communication was easy and we felt well looked after. The village is stunning! We enjoyed feeding the ducks, sampling the tea room's ice cream and drinking in the beer garden while our little girl played on the playpark. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Bakewell is 5 mins drive away and had plenty of takeaway/food/shopping options. We also enjoyed visiting Hassop Station and walking along the Monsal Trail - stunning views. We'd happily stay again.
