“We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. Though much was written in other reviews about the noise from the mosques nearby, they did not bother us at all - it was actually a nice sampling of one part of life for most Indonesians and not disturbing of our rest. It is a haven of peace and the views are breathtaking. My room (Royal Stone House) was spacious and well appointed, with a fridge, a kettle and a safe deposit box. The bed was very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure that my stay was perfect. The breakfast selection is great. I would stay again. Recommended.”

“When you arrive in Java villa boutique hotel, you fell like in a little heaven, it looks gorgeous & relaxing inside with the pool, the plants and the whole reception & common area. It is located in a super nice area, close to restaurants and small shop and close enough from marlioboro. Staff is really nice as always in Indonesia. I absolutely recommend the place ! ”

“The room was nice and large. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were very friendly and eager to be of service, although their English skills varied from non-existent to passable. The breakfast variety was impressive, a large number of western and Indonesia dishes. The gym was well stocked for a hotel gym, they even had free weights. It could do with some painting and modernization. The hotel is on the Ring Road, so it is further from the tourist attractions but also quieter because of...
