“The room was lovely,clean and comfortable.The provision of a fan was much needed and made the night bearable in the heat. Breakfast was excellent,food freshly cooked and plentiful and the usual range of cereals, fruit and pastries. Lunch was delicious, again food was tasty but we were a party of 12,a pre- booked celebration , and some of us had almost finished our main course by the time other main courses had arrived and one person had to send their food back to be reheated. “I did not get use of the room as the hotel was locked up despite calling and leaving messages there was no reply . I had the inconvenience of having to travel 12 miles to find another hotel .”

“Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access. Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own. Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. “We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly.”

“We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay.
