“Superb hotel, the gardens and the harbour view are stunning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities good and felt like quite a treat. We did not pay extra for the hot breakfast and I don't think there was any need, the continental selection is very high end and delicious. Our room was on the back and quite snug but we knew that when we booked. ”

“Only a one night stay with our son and new wife to celebrate their wedding that day. Staff were amazing and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Made use of the pool and sauna and quiet areas although had to stop using the pool for the aerobics class. Had dinner in the Upper Deck restaurant which was lovely. Again brilliant staff who new their stuff”

“If The Ivy did hotels this is what they would be like. Beautiful decor, quirky layout and lovely hidden garden. Room felt luxurious and the bed was super comfy. We ate in the garden which was very relaxed, such a pretty setting. The breakfast was superb, eggy brioche with bacon was delicious and the continental selection was very high end. Latte and Americano coffees included which we've noticed that some hotels have started charging for - not good when you are paying a premium for your stay....

“It was a wonderful stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It was beautifully furnished and decorated, and perfectly situated near the ocean with a small town nearby. The only thing I want to mention is that I wish we could drop off our bags before check-in, but I understand the situation. Also, public transportation was a bit inconsistent, but that's not the hotel's fault—just something for travelers without a car to be aware of!”

“This has to be the best hotel I have stayed in for dog walking. It has a restaurant next door that serves excellent food sourced locally. A bit more expensive than a pub chain but well worth it. The same with the breakfast which was excellent. And the bonus is we could eat in the dog friendly area with our dog.”

“Lovely place in the New Forest, easy to find but lives up to is name of "Retreat". Everything was really nice, bathroom was enormous with a large tub. Shower was blocked so avoided but didn't cause issues. When we did have an issue with the door it was sorted in person straightaway. Only marked down "comfort" because the mattress was too firm, but that's each to their own. ”

“Our second visit to Little Robin Gate and it did not disappoint. Such a warm welcome from David and Pumpkin. The accommodation is superb and immaculately clean. Opted for the jacuzzi room which was an excellent way to relax after a busy day. David thinks of everything and the little touches for dogs and humans alike we’re greatly appreciated. Communication throughout was friendly and informative. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Bournemouth with or without a fury friend. ”
