“Very nice property! River view was so pretty! Didn’t understand why there’s no where to hang wet towels in bathroom. A mirror in the room would be nice. Needs a little updating. Walls are thin & you can hear your neighbors like they’re in your room. Otherwise very nice & we enjoyed our stay.”

“We really enjoyed our visit. The hotel was comfortable and quiet. Relaxing on the deck in the morning and evening was wonderful. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The only tiny issue was the quality of the facial and toilet tissue. Everything else was terrific!! The ambient music was such a nice surprise. It was and easy walk to get into town. We will return.”

“We have stayed at this location for several years in a row now and love it every year. We’ve now tried the cabins and the yurt and they’re both great. The staff communicate really well and we will definitely continue to come here in the summer. And it’s in a great location to. Off the loud main road but right by the center of Maggie valley and just a quick drive to Cherokee or the parkway ”

“Staying in a bunkhouse at Highlander was wonderful — free parking on the street just behind, clean room, cute welcome note and unique, welcome vibe overall. Checking in was a little troublesome with no one answering the phone and no parking/unloading details on their website, but once I got to my room, I was delighted. It was just very cute and right in the heart of the main drag in Highlands with so much walkable. The patio out front with free coffee and banana bread in the morning was absolute...

“exceeded our expectations, everything was spot on, the property os well maintained, lawn care was there during our stay, a gentleman inspecting and replacing fire extinguishers. and it is clean. one ice machine broke or was just out of ice, but i know ice machines and they break alot, but they have two, so not a big deal. i will return to stay again!!”

“This was a perfect stay. Very relaxing. Above and beyond staff. Very hospitable. Love the MCM vibe of the entire property. ”

“Wonderful property right on the creek with balconies on some of the rooms. Picnic tables and grills by the creek for your use. Quiet and comfy room. The room was a little vintage, but very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Check in was super easy and a very nice lady checked us in. ”
