Hideaway Glamping Yurt

Imagine yourself laying inside your private yurt looking up through the clear skydome at the stars above. This yurt is nestled amongst Alder and Pine trees secluded from civilization! Enjoy blackberries picked yourself around the yurt in late spring/early summer with deer, bunnies and owls as your neighbors! This is a dry glamping experience. A private composting toilet and handwashing sink is available. A cozy deck with chairs and a firepit are attached as well as a private grill and private camping shower! Yurt is completely solar powered. Additionally, enjoy a gazebo nearby to relax and unwind! **PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING.. THIS IS A DRY GLAMPING SETUP. THERE IS A HALF BATHROOM (COMPOSTING TOILET AND FOOT PUMP SINK). WE PROVIDE A PRIVATE GRILL AND PRIVATE CAMPING SHOWER AS WELL AS DISHES, SILVERWARE, COOKWARE AND GLASSWARE. THERE WILL ALSO BE A HOT WATER KETTLE TO MAKE HOT BEVERAGES ALONG WITH A FRENCH PRESS COFFEE MAKER. THERE IS LIMITED POWER AVAILABLE AS THE YURT IS DEPENDENT ON SOLAR POWER**

**NOTE- THE CAMPING SHOWER IS ONLY AVAILABLE APRIL THROUGH NOVEMBER 1ST.**

We are dog friendly, and we require all guests to clean up after their dogs. There are plastic bags provided for animal waste disposal when dogs are in the backyard and on neighborhood walks. Cleaning up after pets includes excess pet hair, especially on furniture. Please use the waterproof pet blanket provided for the sofa and bed.
Guests bring the animal onto the property at their own risk. The booking guest is liable for any damages that pets cause. (You will note that we do not usually charge a cleaning fee of any kind. We will have to charge a cleaning fee if your dog leaves behind a mess or causes damage.)
We find that most people are cooperative and responsible with their pets. We love traveling with our fur babies, and would like to keep allowing pets in our listings. Thank you for being understanding and working with us to keep our rental available to pets!

Rules for dogs:
1. We do NOT have a fenced yard or space. If you have a dog that will wander, we require you to keep your dog on a leash or a lead.
2. We live in a country neighborhood and being good neighbors is very important to us. Excessive barking, making noise or being a nuisance to our neighbors is not allowed.
3. Clean up after your dog in the rental, around the rental and anywhere you take your dog in the neighborhood.

Wonderful Place

My husband and I stayed here after a long day of traveling quite a distance and getting our oldest settled at college. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. We will most definitely stay here again.

Rainy yurt stay

This yurt is perfect to stay in if you have the urge to tent camp but it's just too rainy out! It was super cozy and was super close to great hikes. Thank you for the hospitality!

A charming glamping set up- easy to travel to/from the heart of Bellingham, fun to fall asleep to frogs and owls so close to town. Bed is a pullout couch and yurt is super cozy! Be prepared for camp showers, cookouts and lounging on the deck amongst trees and birds. Very sweet set up.

The host was great my first time using app and was not fluent in where to find info he was patient and helped anytime I asked. The property is so cute and quiet and perfect for myself and my dog. The fan really helped to cool down the yurt in the hot evenings

Very enjoyable

It was quiet, private and very relaxing. The only suggestion I have is some folding tv trays to eat meals or play cards, otherwise it's well stocked with all you need.

Yurt was well-appropriated. It has all you need for cooking, dining, and cleaning dishes. You will need a flashlight to navigate the trail to and from the composing toilet at night. The bed was adequate for a pull out, mattress may need to be replaced soon as it dips in the middle. Overall, the property is beautiful and the yurt very private and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, simple

My husband and I stayed for the weekend with our dogs. Very nice, well set up yurt in a good location. Everything was very functional, and the neighborhood was quiet but close to town. Thanks so much! We highly recommend.

A nice getaway!

Pros: so fun to get out of the city a little bit. Glamping was awesome, especially in the cold. The bed was comfy with lots of warm blankets. Easy to get to and from town if interested. Cons: it was so muddy! But that comes with the territory. :)

Perfect retreat style get away!

The yurt was perfect! Propane heater was great! Hot water and enough solar energy to power all of our needs with less than 50% used each day. A little muddy but that's too be expected when you do a lot of work on your land. The owners have really put in a lot of work and you can tell it's a labor of love. We had the best mother- daughter bonding time and we hope to visit again!! Great fun!! Thank you!!

Comfortable and private!

Cozy stay! Loved the firepit and deck area. Bathroom pleasant. We had a great weekend- this was so much more fun than staying at a hotel! Thoughtful host, very quick to respond! We didnt even use the heater although it was cold, we didnt mind at all. Adds to the fun! We both slept like babies, as did our dog. They provided warm blankets including a great doggie blanket. Even provided dog treats and bowls and towels. We never met the host which just added to the privacy factor. Thank you Joshua!

Yurt the only one for me

I would highly recommend Josh’s yurt! He was very personable and the check in process was easy. The yurt was very cozy, even in the winter! We were very surprised with how comfortable the pull out bed was, and the blankets were exceptionally cozy. The location was really close to things. The only suggestion I would have is a stool to put down the outside roller-blinds on the yurt. We didn’t even realize there were blinds until half way into our stay, and then we couldn’t reach them. That’s a very small thing compared to all the greatness of this stay, though!
