“A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further...

“A very nice B&B in a peaceful location and a pub is just a walking distance away! There is a court yard within the compound where one can relax. We enjoyed our one night stay here and enjoyed our full English breakfast. Thank you.”

“The hotel was clean and it had secure parking around the back. Breakfast is incorrectly advertised as online it says breakfast cooked to order, but in reality it is packaged croissants, apples and cereal. Not the warmest of welcomes from the staff. All round ok stay”

“3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked...

“The host was very welcoming and immediately made me feel at home. Breakfast had lots of choices for different appetites. My room was lovely with a fan for the heat, plenty of tea, coffee, etc. and a powerful shower. All in all a great place to visit.”
