Lake Michigan Beach Home
We spent a glorious week with our family of 12 adults & 1 2 yr old. We had not seen each other for 2 years. We had a delightful time. Each couple had their own bedroom & bath. The pool & hot tub were a major hit. The lake & sandy beach made it all perfect. Thank you!

Beautiful views and memories
From the second you pull up and look through the front door you will realize how special the stay is going to be. We enjoyed a golf trip in the area and spent time in the hot tub, swimming in the lake, and making fires at night. It was a perfect place for our group and we hope to stay again next year.

Nearly perfect
The house is a great place and is better than the photos! Has everything you need - plenty of towels, chairs, dishes, etc. Two refrigerators, two ovens, outdoor grills, huge table on the huge deck to seat everyone, every room with a bathroom, etc. Pool is very nice, Beach is amazing! Be warned it is about 115 stairs to get to it, but it is perfect!

Great Vacation Home
Everything about the house and property was great. Pool and hot tub are a big plus. Only downside was the steps to the beach. We just learned to take everything with us on the first trip down.But the beach was great. Great vacation home. Loved the peace and quiet. Would definitely rent again.

Lovely respite for families
Generous commons rooms and large kitchen make this perfect for family gatherings. Pool was pristine, beach this year was especially nice. We brought our own beach "toys": pump up paddle boards and canoes, more beach chairs and a tent for a break from the sun. It was a delight.

Family reunion
My husband and I, our 3 children and spouses plus 10 grandchildren spend an enjoyable week at the house. All enjoyed the lake view and made use of the pool and hot tub. All enjoyed doing their own thing during the day and meeting again at the house for the evening meal, which we all took a turn at being a "chef". Many memories were made during this time.

Wonderful get away!!

Great House for a Ladie's Weekend
We had friends fly in from all over the country, including ALASKA! We had such a relaxing weekend with our friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Clean, organized, and well appointed. Great property!

Annual Labor Day Weekend Family Reunion
Our large family with all ages of grandchildren stayed at Beach Haven 7 years ago. We were so excited to be able to return this year for our family gathering. We had so much fun experiencing everything the house and property had to offer! The house itself is amazing with 7 full bathrooms and a very well stocked kitchen - 2 ovens and 2 full fridges made doing all our own cooking to much easier. The huge shaded back deck with lots and lots of seating was beautiful at sunset to prepare meals on the outdoor cooking station. We were able to watch the grandkids as they played in the huge back yard on the swing, hammock and playing tag and kickball. The hot tub and pool were amazing after we had nice long days on the private beach. Outdoor shower was conveniently placed by the hot tub and back door. The owners provided so many extras that made our trip even better such as abundant chairs to place around the fire pit, extra folding tables and chairs, beach towels. Mike the owner responded right away when we had questions. We hope we will be able to return to Beach Haven!

Lake House
Big house on Lake Michigan Beach. Gorgeous sunsets, beach. We did have 3 unexpected drop ins, twice for pool cleaners and once for groundskeepers. It would've been better to have had forewarning.

Wonderful pool, lots of space
A great house with a lot of open space and beautiful views of the lake. Very long walk down steep stairs to the beach, although the beach itself is phenomenal. Loved the pool, which was even better than the photos. Great communication from manager, very speedy responses.

Great views and accommodations
Good location for family get together. Comfortable eating, sleeping and relaxing arrangements. Enjoyed the hot tub, collecting rocks on the beach and playing pool. A little too cool this time of year ( May 20 - 23 ) to use the pool. Nice large deck to gather and enjoy the view.

Great Family Retreat
This house was a perfect place for our family to hang out together over the holidays! The location on Lake Michigan was beautiful and we were close to St. Joseph for an outing with the kids to the Children’s Museum. The place was very clean, and having a bathroom in every bedroom was a huge plus! The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook most our meals at the house. We also enjoyed the hot tub, the park close by and our walks on the beach.

Beautiful Beach Spot
Wonderful location right off Lake Michigan. The house was perfect for our large group of friends visiting the area for a wedding. Kitchen space was great and lower level pool table and hot tub were great amenities. Plenty of sleeping space and the included air beds worked out perfect. Parking was a little tight since the house is tucked back in a wooded area but was still plenty of space for our group. Would highly recommend to any larger groups visiting the St. Joe/Coloma area!

Wonderful place to stay.
A large, lovely home with beachfront, pool and hot tub. Given the size of the house, the number of bedrooms and the amenities, I think this may be the best value on Lake Michigan.

Family Vacation
This is a wonderful property for a large family vacation. We loved almost everything about it. House was great! Property was even better. Loved all the space, shade, fire pit, etc. we are definitely thinking of coming again in 2023. Only recommendation we’d make is adding a buffet like to the kitchen table area like the one adjacent to the living room. It would really help adding a bit more service space for larger groups.

Lovely getaway on Lake Michigan
My friends and family stayed at this property in May. What a lovely location and home! The house was clean and had ample space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. We were lucky to have beautiful weather. We enjoyed the water and sunset on the beach. The stairs down to the beach are well maintained overall. The last few stairs onto the beach were a little slippery but we made it down (including my 70+ yo parents). The owner was very helpful and quick to answer all of my questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation
We had more than enough space to hang out, and hang alone, which was perfect. Rotated between beach, pool, hot tub. I left once to pick up coffee in St.Joe's but other than that, we used the grill and patio for every meal. For us, there was no reason to eat/drink in town when the view and accommodations were so fantastic. The only set back would be for guests with mobility issues. Beach is off-limits (clearly as noted by the property photos), but pool and toilets/showers also pose a challenge if you have anyone with hip/knee/mobility issues. I hope to be able to book again.

Large family haven
Home has multiple seating areas, great for our group of 15 that split along age lines. Porch seating for meals is for 20 and overlooks generous back yard and lake. Kitchen has most everything a group of 15-20 could need to mass produce meals. Pool is super for kids. Beach was very private with enough sand for the kids. Manage is helpful and responsive.

This house was perfect for our extended family. The views are amazing. We swam in the pool for hours each day. The deck has large outdoor seating that accommodated our large group. Each bedroom had a tv. Plenty of towels. We would rent this house again.

Wedding weekend
Great property for a large group. The views are fabulous and the almost private beach was great although the number stairs will either be great exercise or a big challenge for older adults. The house was well equipped and is setup to enjoy friends and family. The owner was very responsive to all communications when informed of a minor issue he rectified it very quickly.

Annual business strategy meeting
Six colleagues stayed here for our meeting. It was great that each bedroom had its own full bath. We drew straws and one of us got the bunkroom which although wasn’t an ideal adult room it was only one person and not a couple so worked fine. We grilled out each night, had productive meetings and loved the view and outdoor fire pit.

Our 40th anniversary celebration with all our children and grandchildren
We spent the week at this home and Coloma. It was the perfect place for our family which included five grandchildren who are five and under. Access to the beach was a little complicated because of the stairs down but turned out to be less of a problem than I anticipated. Another factor was that the high water level in Lake Michigan made the beach relatively narrow. However we went in the lake every Day and the kids really enjoyed playing on the beach and could’ve stayed there for countless hours. The house also had heated pool which was fantastic in the early part of the day when the sun was on the pool and night out on the lake. The sleeping situation in the house was fine for all four families and their children. Having seven bathrooms was a real bonus when people want to get washed up after the beach or a pool and the outdoor shower accelerated this process for everybody and especially the kids. The proximity to Saint Joseph in Southhaven was great and we took advantage of both cities. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and look forward to going back again in the future

Delightful week at Beach Haven
Beach Haven is so much more than the pictures depict. The home is spacious and comfortable. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was amazing. No lines for the shower. The pool has a deep end for adults and swimmers to enjoy. Lake Michigan was quite cool this year so the hot tub was most appreciated. The outdoor deck is grand with plenty of seating and spectacular views. We saw seven sunsets. The home is well stocked and beautifully appointed to accommodate large groups. The extra fridge was a life saver when bringing in a week's food and beverage for sixteen. We had our adult children, spouses, and 8 grandchildren in tow. We never felt crowded and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you, Mike, for sharing your home so we could live in such an exceptional space for a week.

Great property for large gathering of friends and family. Loved having all the extra bathrooms, pool, and second refrigerator. Unfortunately due to record high waters the beach was virtually non existent during high tide.

We had an excellent reunion
This a 5 star rental. Yes, I know I gave it 4. Our group of adults needed 5 bedrooms, this place had six. Well equipped kitchen, loved the separate ice maker. Great outdoor deck with 2 tables for 10. A few minor housekeeping items which I addressed with manager. The BIG drawback was the less than stellar performance of the internet. Sometimes not even one of us could get on. Other than that, great place.

Thank-you for the feedback on the internet. We have not had any reliability issues with the high speed internet in the past. We have worked with the provider (ATT) to upgrade and replace the modem.

What a wonderful place
Our golf outing group stayed here for 3 nights. Incredible. Awesome kitchen and outdoor grilling station. The view was amazing, the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was great. State of the art appliances, spacious. We cooked breakfast each morning and the house, deck, backyard, fire pit, hot tub... was so great that a couple nights were we had planned to eat out, we instead brought food back to the house. I also want to give Michael, the homeowner, major kudos. I reached out to him several times for advice/info on the house, the area, local restaurants, etc., and each time he was quick to respond with great advice. I highly recommend this property. You won't want to leave.

Beach Haven is a marvelous place for our large family to spend the week together!!
Beach Haven was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 45th anniversary with our family of 10 adults and 6 grandchildren. The layout of the house is perfect -- 3 bedrooms upstairs & 3 bedrooms downstairs each with private bathrooms and an extra bathroom off the lower level near the patio doors. There is a very nice spacious private pool and hot tub; it is definitely worth it to heat the pool. The kitchen is very well equipped with many dishes, pots & pans even a waffle iron, crock pot & under counter ice maker.

Beautiful house and property
Overall the house and the property was great. Amazing view of the lake, full of amenities and great for large groups. Only complaint about the place is the bugs. Not sure if it's the time of year (late September) or just because the house is right on the lake but flies, mosquitoes, ants, and gnats we're everywhere. Highly recommend bringing lots of bug spray, bug bombs and/or citronella candles for outside. It was manageable once we got bug spray so I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable getaway for a large group.

Glad you enjoyed the property, but sorry you encountered some bugs. The house is in a wooded setting, but we typically don’t have this issue when doors are kept closed. We also found some food behind one of the cabinets that could have been the cause. All of the bugs have been removed and the affected areas have been professionally sprayed.

This beautiful lakefront home is a great place to gather families, friends, and co-workers.
This property is well equipped with everything we needed to make a great week of laughter, fun, activity, and opportunities to share with family members we don't see often enough. There are many things one can do at Beach Haven including cuddling up with a great book in comfy furniture, watching a movie on any one of the multiple TVs, swim in Lake Michigan or the swimming pool on the property, play games and race around on the lakefront lawn, and relax in the hot tub. This was the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Better Than the Pictures
We had a marvelous stay at Beach Haven without any problems. The house was bigger and more luxurious than the pictures made it look! Unfortunately, the pool was out of commission due to the time of year but the hot tub was clean and functioning properly. The beach is fairly small and rugged but couldn't complain about the beautiful view. The home is clearly setup to entertain with cabinets labeled for glasses/plates, etc. and directions to use everything from Bluetooth speakers to the dishwasher. Also, their Blue Ray collection is insane in case you get stuck with rainy weather. I would recommend this house to any group!

As we have experienced significant rain this year, the water levels in Lake Michigan are quite high, which results in a smaller beach. We expect (and have seen each year) the beach size to increase as the temperatures rise and water levels go down. There's currently plenty of room for playing, sunbathing, bonfires, and watching the sunsets.

Labor Day Reunion
This was our 5th annual Labor Day reunion on Lake Michigan with our six children, spouses, and rapidly multiplying grandchildren. Every year we hope to find that special place for our time together that we might be able to return to each year. When we were searching for a property large enough for our group and saw the pictures of Beach Haven, everyone was excited to come!! I will say, the pictures do not do this property justice. Everything about this property from the pool out front (which is actually very cool!) to the private beach out back is absolutely perfect. Having a private beach was wonderful. We were able to set up an awning to allow for some shade for the babies and safely leave our toys and kayak at the beach. Fellow vacationers walking along the beach were so friendly. We even loved the 100+ stairs - quite a fun way to exercise and either direction ended up in some refreshing water. We ended up with 18 adults, children and infants in our group and never felt the least crowded. The owners have thoughtfully provided many unexpected extras that made our time at Beach Haven a dream vacation. Everyone in our group hopes that we will be able to return to Beach Haven and have it become part of our family's memories. Thank you for contributing to a great vacation and reunion!

50th Anniversary Family celebration week
Beach Haven was everything we were expecting and more. We had 15 people and everyone found their own space in this house. The 100 plus stairs down to the beach was fun, a bit challenging on the way up but was doable. We loved the 16 person table on the upper deck and ate most dinners enjoying family, friends & Sunsets. We spent time in St. Joseph's, South Haven and Saugatuck on day trips and it was enjoyable. Thank you for letting us experience Lake Michigan from the comfort of Beach Haven. The chairs on the bluff overlooking the lake was an enjoyable place to hang out!

Great Winter Trip
We took a November weekend trip to celebrate a few 30th birthdays and had a great time! The house was very nice, and exceeded our expectations in that regard!! We loved the easy walk (117 stairs or so) down to the beach, and many of us made the trek down to go for a snowy beach run! Thanks for everything, we will keep it in mind for future trips!
