“There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. “Stayed one night for a special occasion. Arrived to an empty reception and waited to be let in by the staff who says he's living there. Room was tired and needed a deep clean — springy noisy bed, dust, cobwebs and spiders. Worst part: a huge dog barking and running around directly above us all night and from 7am, which cost us our sleep and our breakfast. “Nice property. They advertised beach front but the room had terrible views. But no complains for a nights stay. Staff was exceptional. Great service Especially the restaurant staff. Was late for dinner and although they closed the manager lady kept the place open for us to order and eat. Was impressed by that service. True hospitality.”
