Big Bear Lake Rental

Stayed for 4 days. Liked the location. Easy checkin. Host easy to get a hold of. The only issue the house needs a deep cleaning inside and out.

Peaceful Getaway

My husband, my daughter and I went to Big Bear for a family trip to celebrate my birthday. The location was perfect, right on the lake so my husband could fish while me and my daughter soaked in the hot tub. It's also very close distance to the Alpine Slide which we had a great time at. The views of the lake are incredible and can be seen from the bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, blender, etc and the grocery store isn't too far of a drive. The photos of the second master suite doesn't do it justice. While it's seperated from the house, it's only a few stairs down. It's very spacious and nicely done. It has its own bathroom and sitting area and TV. Perfect if you are traveling with grandparents or if parents are traveling with older kids. The second master had a very comfy California king. They were flexible with early check in and late checkout which we appreciated for this quick 3 day trip. Why I rated 4 stars instead of 5: - there was a citywide power outage on arrival and the property manager did not do a great job of keeping us posted. It was a bit stressful but it did come back on after a few hours - the property sits on a hill so you have to be careful walking down to the water, the steps do not go all the way down so just use caution during the icy months - you have to take the jacuzzi cover all the way off in order to see the lake but once you do, it's not easy to get back on because of the hill

Great Cabin with a great Lake views

Very nice place to go and enjoy the mountains. The management company was very friendly. Easy to check in and out. The place has also a separate suite that you can have friends or in-laws stay close but not in the same house. We will definitely go back Thank you

Great location- property was filthy

I had a great time with my family in Big Bear. We were only there for 3 days, just a quick birthday getaway with the family. The property is run down and dirty. It’s not that they missed sweeping or missing towels, it just down right needs to be cleaned. The property manager only reply after we left was to defend herself and tell me how the property was up to their standards, quality control blah blah blah- if that’s their standards they need to raise them. Here is a list of grossness we had to put up with: 1. Dirty floors and no vacuum, a mop but no floor cleaner to clean said floor 2. Hair on master bed, and some kind of mold on the mattress when we stripped the bed - we did have to buy blankets when we were down there so we could sleep 3. No bed bug covers on master bedroom 4. Master bath floor had grime, I think from the dryer that is located in the master bathroom 5. Towels smelled like dirt 6. Every plate and cooking utensil dirty 7. Pine needles covered the porch - we swept when we got there, and when we left there were some but not the thick coating when we arrived 8. Internet sucks & limited channels 9. They scheduled a city inspector during our stay, so unprofessional 10. After I addressed these issues with the property manager and she said she would be getting back to me, never even bothered or apologized for the inconvenience of the inspector arriving and the poor condition of the rental Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, the house could be great, unfortunately it’s not being managed with care.

Perfect cabin for our getawa Amazing lakeviews.Spacious cabin for us, everything you need in kitchen

Everything was great! We really enjoyed it. Short walk to a great hike.- Castle rock. Big coffee maker not working, NO broom in house. Also, a little disappointed with the non view from hot tub because the cover had to lean that way so you couldn’t see the lake. But amazing views from patio & nice to have the dock for the afternoon sun. We will be back;-))

Perfectly Fine

House was fairly clean and as described. It was well stocked but lacking larger frying pans. Bunk beds and bed in separate room were quite uncomfortable, but master room was good. Location is a nice neighborhood, but a little bit of a drive to town amenities. Overall a pretty good rental.

All-around AWESOME!

The house was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, had all the nonstick cooking pots/pans - thank you...the beds were comfortable. The house was so nice and warm for us when we walked in. Perfect location and access to the lake for nice walks. and fun in the snow. PLEASE THANK THE OWNERS! You are so appreciated! This has nothing to do with the property, but the check-in process...we had to drive by the house all the way past the town to FIND the check-in area and read exactly what we read online and agreed to then be told okay, we will send you the code via email. That was a bit annoying after being in the car for over 2 hours, with hungry teens and a dog. Not cool..

Great backyard area for snow play.

The backyard is great. All the neighbors went to the slope next to the property to sled downhill towards the lake. The driveway is slightly sloped and our van got stuck. Had to call towing company to get out. Be prepared with tons of salt and chains or cars that can handle snow.

Overall good stay

Our stay was in July. The house didn’t have central air which was a little more uncomfortable than I thought it would be. We were able to bring fans, I’d suggest you do the same if your stay is in the summer. House was nice and comfortable. The dock was very nice to have and use. The only complaint was there was no ladder for us to climb back onto the dock when swimming. They installed one for the last day of our stay. Also, the cover was not installed on the gazebo so we didn’t have shade on the deck. All first world problems but for the price I would have hoped that it would be the way it’s pictured on VRBO. All in all we had a really nice stay.

We had a wonderful stay on the lakefront with some friends. Our kids had a great time playing in the lake and the property was the perfect location. Can't wait to come back!

Great location, lots of space!

Loved being right on the lake. The house had enough room for everyone and the living area was really nice. We made a lot of use of the porches and hot tub as well!

It was fun, a little less than expected though

It was an awesome location in a great neighborhood. However, the house was little more beat up and didn’t offer all the amenities that were advertised. No boats and no shade cover for the dock. The property management was crazy about the parking as well. Otherwise it was fun.

Beautiful cabin with stunning views, but needs a deep cleaning

My family had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. Pros: Location! Beautiful views! Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, towels, extra blankets and pillows. Hills for the kids to sled down. There were even sleds already there for the kids to use. Alpine mountain and slopes near by. Cons: cleaning fee is clearly not used for “cleaning”. Cabin needs a deep cleaning. Very dusty and grimy. Whoever used the cabin before left their trash behind in the front and it was never picked up. Animals came and ripped the trash bags open. Only property in the area were the Snow wasn’t removed from the driveway and the driveway is an incline so you will be stuck if you don’t have chains. Overall we had a great time and will be back next year

Our own Winter Playground

This property is absolutely beautiful! The views of the lake and mountains are stunning! Our children built snowmen, made snow angels and created a sled path right in the backyard!! Can't wait to come back in the summer!
