“Quite old establishment. Unlucky day for me the Floors/carpet were not vacuumed that day, i could see and smell it. To make it worse the clean new linen was placed on those dirty floors by the cleaning staff who change out the linen - make beds in the morning. Explains the hairs i found on my freshly made bed.”

“I stayed here in 2025 and booked the same place because my 2025 experience was positive. The price is reasonable. My room was excellent (a double and a single bed for one person). There's plenty of food outlets nearby and it is only a short walk from the railway station. I'd definitely book again”

“Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

“This amazing place has everything for a stay in a unique building in peaceful and quiet surroundings. The old rectory house is a lovely building with so much character. It is located in a quiet area and within walking distance to Arrow Valley country park which has some lovely walks, scenery and wildlife. Although the reception isn’t always staffed I had received clear instructions on access to the building, my room and an overview of the facilities. On arrival there was a member of staff...
