“When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. “We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. “Great location, so close to town centre, fantastic host, George couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely room overlooking the quiet cobblestone one way street in view of the cathedral. “We had a lovely 3 night stay at Beamish Park Hotel, it was perfect for our visit as we wanted to visit Durham and Beamish Museum.A lovely room with a very comfortable bed,good parking outside our room.We both really enjoyed the breakfasts, which had a great choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, full English, porridge, eggs and toast.Staff were friendly and helpful.”
