Ideal for those looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Scenic View is the perfect spot to sing around the campfire, gaze up at the stars, and host sweet summer barbecues. Lake access is within 3 miles of the home, where you can swim, fish, and boat. Additional shopping, dining, and entertainment options are less than 10 miles away.

Splashed with natural light, the interior of Scenic View Lodge's main house combines charming rustic elements with modern conveniences. The chef of your group will have no issues utilizing the full kitchen's stainless steel appliances and ample meal prep space. When it comes to dining, the expansive formal dining table and in-kitchen table are well-suited to host family-style meals. After your meals, gather in the family room for movie viewings, board game competitions, and tasty cocktails - prepared at the stand-alone bar. The bedrooms are equally comfortable and offer easy access to the bathrooms.

The cozy interior of the Hickory Suite features high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and a well-equipped kitchen. The wooden desk is a pleasant spot to catch up on your reading or tune into a remote work project.

Perfect for a large group of friends. Offers big gathering spaces plus lots of rooms to allow for privacy. Beautiful setting, close to Lake Monroe and only 12 minutes to College Mall area. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The location was gorgeous and there was tons of room for our entourage. The hot tub, fire pit, and close proximity to Bloomington were major selling points that were definitely worth it

Doors were not locked when we arrived, the property was clean and ready, The freezer in kitchen fridge was not working and the fridge temp was 50 degrees, which caused some problems. We moved everything to the fridge outside. The hot tub was uncovered when we arrived but it was working. We enjoyed the giant dining table, made it easy for our group of 13 to gather, eat and catch up. The foliage was perfect and the sunrises were awesome! Some updates are needed with kitchen cookware and some of the mattresses. The furniture in the TV room sits and looks like pieces from a thrift shop, WELL used! Screens on windows would be nice, to facilitate some fresh air when needed. That all said, my brothers, sisters and in-laws loved the location to so many amenities. We visited Nashville, Brown Co. State Park, Yellowood State Forest and of course IU!!

Overall had a great experience. This was a business strategic planning retreat and the house had everything we needed. It was in a great location. Close to town but far enough to feel separated and loved then views. Lots of room to meet and hangout. Tons of beds to choose from.

The view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the number of rooms worked well for our family of 15, The location was good, and we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. There were plenty of towels and 2 laundry rooms, which was nice. The only downside was that there was fresh mice poop under one of the bathroom vanities, and then, one of our daughters came face-to-face with a mouse in that same bathroom. We do understand, however, that mice are can be expected in e house in the middle of the woods. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and made some wonderful memories!

Vacation of surprises

This is an interesting place. The huge table in the dining room was perfect for my family of 12 and we really enjoyed the patio area. However, we were unaware until we arrived about the shower being not usable in the main bathroom and another bedroom upstairs having non-working ceiling fans which meant no air in that room. Because of the excessive rain that week, one downstairs bedroom had soaked carpeting - which we understood that situation, But workmen kept coming into the house ( without knocking on the door) for the next 3 days to check on the fans drying the carpet. That was very uncomfortable for my family. We still got to enjoy Lake Monroe and had some fun there - it just could have been so much better.

Family Reunion

We had 9 adults and 2 children under 2. It was a perfect set up for our bedroom and bathroom needs. We would have enjoyed more TV’s. Only 1 TV for the whole house. This was a damper on the stay. The host was excellent. Very easy to contact and willing to help with any problems.

Weekend at Scenic View

Great place to stay in a beautiful area. Easily holds a crowd of people comfortably. Jenny was a spectacular host. Quick to respond, friendly and very understanding. Would highly recommend staying at Scenic View. The restaurant is an added plus. Great food and awesome service!

Plenty of space and beautiful view

The house has 5 areas with a bathroom where different family groups can sleep. It also has 3 refrigerators. The view of the lake and trees is beautiful and peaceful. There are some places you have to go up and down steps to get to them and three of the bedroom groupings are upstairs.

Excellent

There were 17 people that stayed at the house, 5 different families, 9 adults and 8 children. Ages ranged from 3 months old to 65. It was a perfect set up so everyone could have their own space and bathroom. Very clean. Beautiful setting! Very pleased!
