“Nicely constructed cabin. Very comfortable bed! Peaceful and fresh air. Would have liked a later check out than 10 am given we were expected to do half of the clean up - dishes, garbage collection, placing towels all in one designated location, resetting the thermostat, closing the windows, etc. We were late leaving due to these housekeeping chores, and the second we departed a service truck pulled up that previously came around at exactly 10 am. ”

“The cabin was perfect and just what we needed. The lakefront property was idyllic and indeed the slice of wilderness heaven promised in the listing. The host, Barb, was helpful, kind, compassionate, and quite amenable and understanding. She even came out in a storm when we locked ourselves out by accident. The location and proximity to other jewels of Maine as well as the freshest of seafood and Maine home cooking made day trips a very feasible possibility! You can’t miss with this property...

“Super cute place! Excellent location for Acadia National Park. Peaceful, A/C, laundry, cute little kitchen care pack (an old review said there was nothing to wash dishes with- that no longer is the case, we were provided dish soap and a sponge) and a bathroom care pack with shampoo, conditioner, laundry, and soap/body wash. It was pricy but that’s expected during peak travel times and we booked pretty late in the year. Grateful to have found this gem and highly recommend. ”

“We loved the cabin and the location. We enjoyed the deer, turkeys and birds who visited. So easy to access Acadia park and downtown Bar Harbor. A short and pretty walk over to the seawall and picnic area. We were very glad we chose SW Harbor as it was really the quiet side. The Harbor Table and Peter Trout’s Tavern are great spots for dinner or lunch. ”

“This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It was very clean and the perfect size for us. We enjoyed seashell hunting at the private beach! We spent a lot of time at Acadia National Park and towns around there, all less than an hour away. We would definitely stay again if in the area!”

“What a beautiful property! It's located at end of a long gravel road on a tidal river. There's a deck, firepit, and basketball net. You can check the tidal clock inside and explore the riverside at low tide. It is 40-ish minute ride to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. “Stayed in high end and low end places. Normally don’t care about most things and just leave a good review, until something really irks me. So I’ll start with main thing. Needed to foam roll after long days of driving so did so on the rug. Now the light sucks and I didn’t pay too much attention. “This quaint stay was everything we needed for our trip to MDI. Becka was a wonderful host (as was her angelic dog, Cayenne), and we loved the rustic setting. The rental was well and thoughtfully stocked. The outdoor shower was so enjoyable, serenaded by the nearby apiary. Even the early bird rooster made us laugh. Would happily stay again.”

“The stay was fine and the host a nice enough guy. However, just to lay out some facts: - The primary picture of the shed was taken before the units 1 and 2 were hung on the outside. The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden...
