Comfortable house close to everything
Very nice property in a quiet neighborhood right across the river from downtown Salem and most attraction. Very walkable when the weather is nice. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for groups traveling together. Communication with the host was easy, Meg was very responsive. Decent sized outdoor space with a grill and patio furniture. Really enjoyed our Salem experience and would rent again the next time we come here. Only suggestion I have that would be a nice enhancement would be a hot tub.in the outdoor space.

Everything You Need
Very well stocked rental. Short drives into downtown- if it was warmer would have gladly walked to downtown. Enjoyed how quiet the neighborhood was, and taking a right from the unit was a nice small waterfront park I loved walking my dogs to during our stay. We were very happy with this spot for our first time in Salem!

Christmas in Salem

Bachelorette weekend
Meg has the greatest house ever. Located perfectly to everything you want to experience in Salem, an Uber ride is super cheap to get anywhere. The house is great and accommodated the 11 people that came for my bachelorette weekend. Meg was extremely helpful with recommendations & even left her Halloween decor up longer for me as I was having a spooky themed girls weekend. I will absolutely be back!

Super Salem Spot
This property is amazing, it was spacious, spotless, and in a great location. Meg provided us with all the necessities and convenience of home. It was creatively decorated for Halloween and every bed was comfortable! Don’t hesitate to rent this fabulous home!

Nice house, 1/2 mile walk from downtown, easy to navigate. We only booked the upstairs so had to ensure laundry was available via request even though it was listed as available with rental. Suggestion book for food and activities was helpful.

Very homey neighborhood home walkable to downtown Salem
We loved that this home was a bit out of the fray of the October madness. We got to walk into downtown and shop, experience all the cool stuff, but at the end of the day we had somewhere quiet to crash. It was so lovely one day we just ordered in. Beds were comfy, individual acs in the bedrooms worked great. If we're ever in Salem again, we'll be back!

AMAZING!
This place is amazing!! I came for my bachelorette party and it was the perfect size and location. We were able to walk to downtown and the few times we ubered it was a reasonable price. The house was super clean, had very cute decorations, and a binder with everything you need to know. I HIGHLY recommend this property 😊

Beautiful
The photos don't do this property justice. It is huge inside. We had a bachelorette weekend with 8 women and there was plenty enough space for everyone and then some. The living room was so cozy with tons of seating, and all the chairs and couches were so comfy. It's a nice 20 min walk to Salem which was lovely. Highly recommend using the Salem skipper app for traveling around, so nice and affordable! I would come back to this property many times over. Thank you so much for the stay!

Awesome!!!
We stayed for the weekend with friends and family we havent seen for some time. It was the perfect location with a short walk to down town Salem and the T into boston. The property was extremely clean and well kept. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Best place to stay
My friends and I stayed here for my bachelorette party. It was amazing! The house is so cozy and within walking distance of everything! We all loved it and agreed it was the best find. We will definitely be coming back to this house!

Lovely Home
The house was perfect! Great location and house was very clean and comfortable. We could walk into Salem and also visited Marblehead. We had 8 adults staying and everyone had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were really comfortable. Meg was very communicative and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Meg!

AMAZING space for a large family or friend group
I grew up in the North Shore, and used to live a few blocks from this house. So coming here with all of my cousins in our adulthood to celebrate the last wedding in the family, was a real treat. We all fit in the house very comfortably, there was parking everywhere and we really enjoyed the convenience of the location to downtown Salem. All of the rooms were more than enough room for each of the couples and even the basement room was more than spacious for two couples. The common areas were great for gathering and having a few laughs and drinks. All of the bathrooms were perfect with plenty of towels and bathroom accessories. I can’t imagine being able to rent this during Halloween! I would 1,000% rent this again, and strongly recommend it to anyone looking to spend time on the North Shore of Massachusetts. 10 stars

Beautiful house minutes from downtown Salem
This was a large, lovely house situated in a quiet neighborhood - only a block from the water and a very short drive from downtown Salem. The place was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax in between activities. Leslie was commutative and accommodating, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Leslie!

Family Wedding Weekend
We all came in from out of town having reserved 7 Walter Street in Salem as a place to stay while attending a wedding. The VRBO’s accommodations were clean and comfortable and made it easy to enjoy each other’s company. The kitchen was very functional. Perfect cozy house for a gathering
Our family met for a Christmas gathering. Megan’s house is so inviting- a perfect place to make a big meal, sit around the dining room table and then around the fire in the living room. The house is warm, has plenty of sleeping spots, and just feels like home. Megan is an unbelievable host- thank you!

Comfy home, thoughtful host
Loved this home which was warm and welcoming, just like Meg, the host. It had everything you could possibly need for a stay and then some. This feels like a true home, one someone (used to) live in and the beautiful quality furnishings and artwork and little details like lots of cozy blankets and throws, tons of kitchen equipment show that. We appreciated the dining room table that could seat 10 plus a fold out table and extra chairs that could seat even more- perhaps 16 or 18. Lots of couch and comfy chair options in the living room plus a smart tv, gas fireplace, and a cabinet with games. A little Salem decoration throughout- a cute touch.

Weekend at Leslie’s Retreat
This was my first experience with VRBO; a great choice! My group consisted of 1 couple and 3 single friends. Ample room, comfortable bedrooms and a good kitchen for cooking. The fireplace in the living room was really nice and we used it each night we were there. My only wish is that there had been a 2nd bath upstairs, but we made it work just fine.

Perfect house for visiting Salem!
This house was in the perfect location! Right near town without being in the center of all the madness and noise, so we never had issues with traffic or parking. The house itself was beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. Modern and cozy living room where we watched Practical Magic, fantastic bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding, and the Halloween decor was a nice touch. The host was communicative and helpful and really nice. Highly recommend this house!

The house is simply amazing. Beautiful historic home, immaculately decorated. It is a short 10-12 minute walk to downtown and all the shops. The host is fantastic and very accommodating. We cannot wait to book a future stay.

Quaint, cozy and comfortable

Cozy house
Five family members gathered at this cozy house for a wedding weekend. The house was perfect for our needs, with comfortable beds and nice living space to hang out in. There is a small grocery store a short walk away. The house is close to attractions in town. We toured the house of the seven gables and enjoyed it very much. Megan was attentive and a pleasure to interact with. I would not hesitate to go back.

We loved Leslie's retreat and it was our home for a week. The house was in great shape and we were all very comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood was disappointing, industrial and run down. The nearby park is very nice, however, with a picnic area, tennis court and basketball court. Overall, I'd still rate this a 5* place to stay.

Wonderful Get Away
Clean, spacious home was perfect for our family of 7 attending a wedding. Rooms were larger than expected. Basement upgrade for additional bedroom, bath and laundry is a must if travelling with babies or young children. Location was great, a 15 minute walk to Salem attractions, quick drive to restaurants, supermarkets, beaches, and town. Meg is an outstanding host, quick to respond and very accommodating to our requests. Would love to stay there again!

Hi Rod, thank you for your review. The play pen has been cleaned, thank you for notifying us as we are not aware unless notified. The cleaners inspected and cleaned the basement and added traps necessary. We will keep an eye on the basement.
