Botany Bay: Tour e Visite Guidate

After flying for hours and taking a taxi to the resort, we were told by the front desk staff that we were scheduled to arrive the next day. I showed the itinerary and was then told they’d been trying to reach me but didn’t have my number. I found 1 message, which had been sent while we were on the plane. I asked for a manager, it took about 15 minutes for her to show up. After arguing about when I was supposed to arrive, she finally told me she doesn’t have my room because the air conditioning was broken. She didn’t have any extra rooms so she offered to send us to a sister property. We ended up at the Elysian for the week. That resort was fine but we had planned our vacation around distance from Limetree. Overall, I can’t say anything about the accommodations at Limetree customer service was unacceptable.

I was overall disappointed by this stay. The sargassum smell made me nauseous daily and ruined what could have been a good experience. We couldn’t enjoy the waters at the resort at all due to it. The odor was so bad. The communication amongst staff was terrible. Everytime I called the lobby I was just put on hold. I would txt the guest service line and get no response back. Everytime I asked for a cart to take up around the resort, it never came. On checkout day I even called an hour before to set it up and they still did not show up. There was mold in our shower. I watched another guests food get attacked by chickens during breakfast at the resort. Overall very bummed and disappointed. I also attended a seminar and was told I would have free transportation back to the airport on check out day for attending, and that also did not happen. We still had to pay $50 to get back to the airport. I would not recommend this resort out of others. I would also suggest people stay where there isn’t sargassum because it ruined the stay for sure.
