“The room was clean, nice size tall fridge, heating plate, microwave and electric tea kettle. They even provided 2 hotel style robes for our stay. Tony, the owner was an excellent host and responded promptly to our messages. Love the convenient drive up to our lodging door and no steps for ease in unloading and loading car. “The room was clean, attractive, and inline with the Victorian period when the Holbrooke Hotel was the place to be in the area. I was especially pleased that there was no TV (I'm sure you could order one), which made my stay very peaceful.”

“Best cheap motel option in the Grass Valley / Nevada City area. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Safe area. Clean, basic. Fridge worked, as did microwave and coffee brewer. Good heat. Hot water took 3 minutes to warm up but when it did it was plenty toasty. Bed, sheets and pillow got the job done. Gal at front desk was friendly and helpful. All the motel I needed.”
