“Fantastic break between Christmas and New Year. We stayed in the annexe across the road. Our room was dual aspect with a lake view. It was perfect for our needs for our two nights stay. Breakfast was very good. The location was close enough to stagger up the main road from Bowness without too much effort.
My only issues are that we were under a room which sounded like an elephant on treadmill most of the second night. Try for the top floor if you can. I did overhear a couple mention the main...

“Very clean and smart room. Public areas are all very well kept and very nicely decorated with plenty of character. There is a very smart homely atmosphere. All the staff have been very friendly and professional. There was a maintenance problem, which couldn’t be resolved, but a suitable option was offered immediately - which we were happy with.
