Firefly Bay - Amazing Views, Hot Tub, Main Lake, Pet Friendly

Welcome to Firefly Bay, a luxury lakefront vacation home with plenty of space, spectacular main lake views, deep water, and all the amenities to make your lake vacation a memorable one. Pets are allowed—up to 2 dogs, each 50 lbs or below.

As soon as you step in the front door, the expansive views of the lake will take your breath away. Drop your bags, explore the more than 5200 square feet of living space on 3 levels, and prepare to enjoy all that Firefly Bay Lake Gaston has to offer!

Relax in the spacious, brightly lit great room, prepare meals in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen, and dine with family and friends in the dining area with seating for 14 inside and 6 outside on the deck. Grill your favorite foods on our Weber grill (which features a built-in propane line so no tank is required), then head down to the lower level for more space to relax and entertain, including a pool table, a bar area with an icemaker and beverage fridge, a smart TV with a PlayStation 4, and a closet full of puzzles, books, and games.

Next, head to the screen porch just off the kitchen to get away from the action and savor a cup of coffee or a good book while you enjoy the summer breeze. Then enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub with spectacular views of the lake.

Looking for more to do? Head to the garage game room where you will find ping pong, foosball, basketball pop-a-shot, arcade games, cornhole, plus a second full size refrigerator and freezer for extra storage and convenient access to food, drinks, and snacks.

Of course, the main attraction is beautiful Lake Gaston only a few steps away from the house. We have lake toys galore including 4 kayaks, 2 stand-up paddle boards, a floating swim mat, and other various inflatables. We have a variety of life jackets in child, youth, and adult sizes, as well as a vacant boat slip, a PWC lift, and cleats on the dock that guests are welcome to use. If you would like to rent our pontoon during your stay, please let us know!

Head up to the upper level of the dock to soak up some rays on the sun deck, complete with lounge chairs, tables, plenty of seating. If shade is more your style, our lot is oriented so that there is both shade and sun even in the middle of the day! Enjoy swimming in the deep water (8-10 feet off the end of the dock), or use our jump gates to take the plunge off the top deck (if you’re brave enough!). Try your luck fishing, or take a kayak or paddle board to explore Hawtree Creek just a short distance down the shore. For guests bringing a boat, a public boat ramp is located just 3 minutes from our home.

After a long day on the lake, enjoy smores at our firepit and watch the spectacular sunsets from the sundeck. As the evening light fades, relish the magic of summer at the lake as the fireflies make their appearance. Another perfect day at Firefly Bay!

Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
Main level bedroom with king bed and en suite full bathroom with jacuzzi tub.

Upper level bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and additional adjoining space (great for families!). Fold out sofa bed, Pack 'N Play and full size air mattress are available (please bring your own sheets for these).

Upper level bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom just across the hall.

Upper level bunk room with 3 twin-over-double bunk beds and an en suite full bathroom.

Lower level bedroom with queen bed and full size futon, with full bathroom just steps away. Bring your own bedding for the futon.

Bath towels and bed linens are provided, with beds made up prior to your arrival. Please bring your own lake towels.

TV's and internet:
We have Smart TV's throughout the home with YouTube TV included (use your own accounts for other streaming services). High speed fiber internet with whole-house WiFi provides reliable and fast internet access for our guests.

What to Bring:
We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. Please bring extra paper towels, toilet paper and tissues.

Please bring extra hand soap as well as bar soap, shampoo, dishwasher soap/pods, and laundry detergent.

Please bring your own plastic bags/plastic wrap/aluminum foil and garbage bags (13 gallons for the kitchen, 30-40 gallon for the garage). A broom, dustpan, mop, vacuum and dustbuster are located in the laundry room and are available for guests' use.

We have both a Keurig and a 12-cup Mr Coffee coffeemaker.

Firewood is provided for our guests' use.

Please inquire about pontoon rental (must be arranged in advance).

A brief note about fees:
The "Service Fee" is charged and collected by VRBO. This is not a fee that Firefly Bay Lake Gaston charges or receives.

The "Cleaning Fee" is collected by Firefly Bay Lake Gaston to cover our costs for cleaning the house, linens, and hot tub.

Please note that we have a Kwikset Smart Lock and Ring doorbell at the front door for guests' convenience and security.

We can accommodate a maximum of 16 adults/19 total guests.

No smoking, no parties or events.

We love hosting guests with dogs! To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

- Keep dogs on a leash when outside at all times.
- No dogs on the furniture, including beds and couches.
- We allow up to 2 dogs less than 50 pounds with a Pet fee of $175.
