Benvenuti nel nido dello scoiattolo bianco, dove il fascino rustico della cabina incontra l'elegante semplicità. Questa casa di cedro si trova nella foresta di Sherwood, al largo della Hwy 276, circondata da una bellissima e tranquilla foresta. All'interno di questa casa si vedranno i suoi veri colori di eleganza e semplicità con un piano aperto al piano principale. Con una cucina completamente funzionale che si apre alla zona pranzo. Il soggiorno ruota attorno al camino a legna, un luogo ideale per la serata al cinema.


Al piano superiore troverete due camere da letto e un bagno completo. Ogni camera ha pareti color designer, è la più piccola delle due camere che presenta un balcone e una vetrata di uno scoiattolo bianco. 


Inoltre, innamorate della magia della Foresta di Sherwood e godetevi tutto quello che ha da offrire. Questa zona incantevole comprende più di 20 miglia di sentieri escursionistici con torrenti embrici e cascate dolci. Esplora e scopri se puoi trovare le vecchie foto! Godetevi la pesca su cinque laghi, nuotando in una piscina olimpionica junior riscaldata, giocare a tennis e golf su un percorso esecutivo dove i pericoli includono i letti di fiori di campo selvatico e un cadavere occasionale. Nessun cancello, nessuna preoccupazione, solo pace e privacy.

If you are looking for views, you won't find them here as the house is surrounded by trees, but it is very well equipped, especially the kitchen. It could do with some more comfortable seating as the house sleeps six, but the den has only a loveseat and armchair with an upright upholstered chair. Den is small but could be rearranged. Otherwise, nice place to stay.

White Squirrel Nest is a charming place to stay in Sherwood Forest. It has everything you need for a comfortable visit and has easy access to everything the community has to offer. It made a great overflow house for our family and friends and I not hesitate to rent it again.

Great, cozy little house!

We came up to Brevard as a last minute vacation when our AC went out in Charleston during a heat wave. Boy did we like the shade, mountains and AC at this house in the beautiful Sherwood Forest neighborhood! This was a great house for just me and my husband. We always enjoy coming to the mountains. Hope to be back again soon!

Wedding in neighborhood, great location, kitchen stocked nicely.

A slight moldy smell. Could use a deep cleaning. Most surfaces were clean, floor and walls definitely could use some attention. The living room furniture is not the most comfortable and only room for 3 maybe 4 small people to seat in the living area. Great house! Would consider again, without the elderly grandparents who did struggle with the steps. LOVED the screened porch!

Great location and clean

We booked The White Squirrel for a last minute getaway after Christmas. The neighborhood (Sherwood Forest) was absolutely adorable. It was super quiet and felt very secluded. If you’re looking for a Mountain view, you won’t get them here, but the charm of the Sherwood Forest Community makes up for it. The cabin was very clean. There was ample towels and bed linens for the six of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils. There was even an instantpot, if that’s your thing. There was a great little info binder with info you needed to know that we found helpful, including a link to buy firewood to be delivered for the fireplace. It was chilly, but the screened in porch would be wonderful in the warmer months. There isn’t a ton of yard to speak of if that matters to you for your kids or dog. (This rental is dog friendly!) we didn’t have a problem with that as we spent our time at DuPont Forest hiking and touring the Biltmore. This would have been a 5 star review except for the following. 1) Sound carries through the house like I’ve never experienced before. It’s mostly wood flooring except the two upstairs bedrooms. There are very thin rugs in the living and dining area and no curtains. Once the kids went to bed, we had to be quite because they could hear us clearly upstairs. There is little privacy to be had because of that. Maybe some curtains would help absorb some of the sound? 2) Although the house can sleep six there was not nearly enough seating in the living room for all six of us with just a small loveseat and chair. We didn’t spend too much time just sitting around, but I could see how that could be a downside to some. The couch was super soft and broken down, making it not very comfortable. For the price range of the rental I expect to be comfortable in the living room. Overall, a great experience and we had a great trip!

Great House

House is close to the lake. Convenient to trails. I guess due to pets there was some odor but nothing too offensive. Master was small with queen bed but did have access to screen porch. I would definitely stay here again.

Rustic weekend

The house/cabin was clean and very well furnished. Kitchen had everything you would ever need, comfortable beds with more than enough linens. Nice and cozy would highly recommend staying there

Nice stay

Overall this is a great location and property. We enjoyed our stay and the house was well-stocked and well-maintained. The only negative is that we encountered several live roaches and spiders during our stay. So I would suggest that they have the house treated by a pest control service.

White Squirrel Nest

Quiet, outside Brevard roughly 12 miles, which you won’t mind as you enjoy riding thru the Countryside. The Cedar Mtn Cafe just further down the road has a fine menu that will give you second thoughts about cooking. Dual porches. You’ll unravel your tensions; we kept the tv off most days. Relax.

Lovely house in the forest.

Very much enjoyed White Squirrel's Nest. Great location. Swimming at the pool and small lakes in Sherwood Forest. Easy trips to beautiful waterfalls. Great place to breathe some fresh air and relax in nature. The house itself is very comfortable and well cared for.

Spacious and cute

Last minute trip to Brevard for Dads funeral. Cabin was spacious and cute! The carpets didn't look as if they were vacuumed and the floors needed sweeping, other than, this cabin met our needs.
