“This hotel fell way short of others at this same price point. There was an odor in the hallway to our room. They had cut a flap in the carpet over electrical outlets. I tripped over that flap twice. We have stayed in rooms this size many times before. This hotel has chosen to do away with what I consider essentials. For example, there is no clothes rack with hangers for hanging garments. That has been replaced with 3 hooks. There is no towel rack in the bathroom. The towels are kept...

“The hotel was decent, the bed was made, sheets clean. There is no elevator and my room did not have black out curtains so it was a rough morning getting woken up early by the sun coming in the window.”

“I like the quiet area, but didn’t expect not to have any pots for cooking my food. As a traveler last thing to pack was pots to cook and a coffee pot or water kettle to make coffee. Front desk receptionist mention is an extended hotel, Um I have stayed before on extended hotel that actually provide basic essentials. 1pot, 1coffee maker , sponge and soap to clean up. Providing this can potentially create more revenue. Compared to selling the pot set for $35.00. I understand some folks stay long...

“Renovated insides were nice, but there was no night light in bathroom, no coffee pot for the coffee maker. The bistro was not open for dinner...I don't mind not having a free breakfast but it seems cheap to not offer free coffee. The mattresses in our room were so soft and our bodies left huge dents ..not a great sleep sadly.”

“Beautiful property from the lobby to our room, we were very impressed w the decor and overall feel of this property. Our room was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Staff attentive to everyone. Food was standard fare plus the fixings for carnita tortillas which was delicious. I hope our travels bring us back to Ankeny!”

“Room was clean. The shower leaked onto the floor. Must be an ongoing problem because the wall had some water damage . Other than that, it was clean and comfy, close to restaurants and easy to find off the highway.”
